  • Hold architecture reviews and governance, and set architecture requirements for service management and operational readiness
  • Advise program and executive stakeholders, and mentor engineers and junior architects

Requirements

  • 7+ years in cloud or infrastructure engineering and architecture, including 3+ years as an architect or senior technical lead
  • Deep design experience in AWS or Azure, with working knowledge of the other
  • Solid understanding of networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience designing highly available, resilient architectures, including disaster recovery
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, ATO processes, identity, and Zero Trust architecture
  • Enough understanding of infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and DevSecOps to set standards and review designs
  • Working knowledge of ITIL and observability platforms
  • Ability to explain trade-offs clearly to executives and engineers
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required

Conditions

Optional: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect certification

Optional: CISSP or equivalent, and ITIL certification

Optional: experience in federal agencies or other highly regulated environments
