CDI - Infrastructure Manager - Hosting & Cloud

Description

You will shape and run the company's cloud and on-premise hosting infrastructure, covering design, build, operation and improvement. The goal is infrastructure services that are secure, scalable, highly available and cost-effective, supporting enterprise applications, data center platforms and business operations.

You will lead infrastructure teams, guide cloud strategy, run hosting environments and make sure security and compliance standards are met. You will work with application, security, DevOps, managed service provider and data center teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure.

The company is a global distributor of electrical products and services for the energy sector, selling through multiple channels to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and manage cloud environments, mainly on Microsoft Azure, keeping them scalable, fast, reliable and secure.
• Oversee provisioning, configuration and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
• Help set cloud governance and architecture standards.
• Manage enterprise hosting across data centers, virtualized systems and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery, and support hosting for enterprise applications, databases and analytics platforms.
• Track infrastructure capacity and performance.
• Help define and deliver the cloud and infrastructure strategy, including moving workloads from on-premise to the cloud.
• Build automation and Infrastructure-as-Code, and help design scalable, resilient architectures.
• Make sure infrastructure meets security policies and regulatory standards including SOC2, ISO 27001 and GDPR.
• Work with cybersecurity teams to put security controls in place, and support identity access policies and infrastructure security monitoring.
• Lead and mentor infrastructure and cloud engineers.
• Coordinate work across DevOps, security, networking and application teams, and manage vendors and external service providers.
• Keep infrastructure uptime and reliability at the expected level.
• Take part in incident response, root cause analysis and service restoration, and support monitoring, logging and alerting.

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud environments.
• Experience running cloud and hosting environments.
• Experience leading infrastructure or cloud engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in hybrid setups and with VMware virtualization.
• Fluent English is required.
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure in a hybrid environment.
• Infrastructure: VMware and Hyper-V.
• Automation and IaC: Terraform.
• Containers: Kubernetes.
• Configuration management: Ansible, Chef and Puppet.
• Networking: VPC, VPN, load balancing and firewalls.
• Team leadership and mentoring.
• Managing vendors and stakeholders.
• Strategic planning and leading projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
