Description

The role is with the company's Space sector team in Chandler, AZ, working on guidance, navigation and controls (GNC) for systems that protect the nation.

The team solves complex problems and works in a trust-based, globally connected setting, with room to grow and advance.

The company will teach you any language, program or platform you do not already know.

Responsibilities

• Build and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains.
• Run 6 degree of freedom (6DoF) simulations to design and test missile flight code.
• Use 6DoF simulation models to assess how a system performs.
• Be an active, integral member of your team.
• Bring enthusiasm to new ideas and help the team innovate.
• Help build and deploy technology that supports national security.
• Collaborate with agility and flexibility to test creative ideas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 1 year of professional experience for Level 1.
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience, or Master's degree with 1 year, for Level 2.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master's degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year, for Level 3.
• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master's degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years, for Level 4.
• The company will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in place of a degree.
• An active U.S. Government Secret clearance at the time you apply, current and within scope.
• Directly related guidance, navigation and control (GNC) experience.
• Experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and putting them into missile flight code.
• Experience with trajectory optimization software and tools.
• Preferred: Master's or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Preferred: Top Secret clearance.

Conditions

Junior and mid-level engineers are being recruited.

The role is 100% on-site in Chandler, AZ.

No travel is required.

Clearance is required for start.

Base salary range (Primary Level): $65,800.00 - $184,200.00.

Secondary Level salary range: $0.00 - $0.00.

The range is a general guideline. Base salary depends on scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
