Description

The company is hiring a business developer to grow its client base in Belgium and with European institutions.

Your core job is to find new prospects, build relationships with senior executives and turn them into long-term client partnerships in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

You would build accounts from zero rather than take over an existing portfolio, helping to create the next generation of clients in Belgium. The role suits someone who likes starting from nothing, finds openings where others see blockers and does well in an entrepreneurial setting. Energy, resilience, curiosity and the ability to earn the trust of senior decision-makers count for more than a traditional consulting background.

You will work alongside consultants and partners to create new opportunities, promote the company's expertise and shape the growth plan of the Belgian office.

Within 12 months, the aim is to open several new strategic accounts in Belgium and with European institutions, build a qualified AI and cybersecurity pipeline, win trust and sponsorship from senior decision-makers, add meaningfully to the office's growth targets and raise the company's profile across the Belgian and European ecosystem.

The company is listed on Euronext Paris and has more than 5,500 consultants in 17 offices across Europe, North America and Asia, plus a partnership in the GSA region. It supports large companies and public bodies with transformation work in cybersecurity, AI, digital transformation, sustainability and operational excellence. It treats AI as a business transformation in its own right, helping clients seize its opportunities, manage its risks and adopt the new ways of working it brings.

The Brussels office has about 35 consultants and is entering a growth phase due to strong demand in cybersecurity and AI. It has built credibility and long-standing client relationships and now wants a larger commercial presence in Belgium and across the European ecosystem, including European institutions and international bodies based in Brussels. The office runs with a high degree of autonomy and an entrepreneurial culture.

Responsibilities

  • Find, research and target new prospects and decision-makers at large Belgian organisations, public bodies, European institutions, agencies and international organisations.
  • Fill your prospect pipeline through networking, cold outreach, referrals, industry events, LinkedIn and original prospecting ideas.
  • Grow a strong network across Belgium and Europe and spot opportunities before they are formally launched.
  • Plan and co-lead client meetings and executive presentations with consultants and partners.
  • Assess clients' business challenges and match them to the right company expertise.
  • Take opportunities from first contact through negotiation and procurement to a signed contract.
  • Help raise the company's visibility and reputation in Belgium and across Europe.
  • Build trusted, long-term partnerships on your accounts, including strong relationships with executives and key stakeholders.
  • Find new sponsors, needs and opportunities to widen the company's footprint in each account.
  • Run commercial meetings alongside consulting teams.
  • Sell the company's AI and cybersecurity offers and draw on wider Group expertise where it helps.
  • Manage complex sales cycles that involve several stakeholders and experts.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and close major opportunities.
  • Help shape the commercial development strategy of the Belgian office.
  • Analyse target markets and identify strategic growth openings.
  • Design and carry out account development and market entry plans.
  • Log and track sales activity, pipeline and performance metrics in Salesforce.
  • Take part in commercial reviews and strategic decisions.
  • Keep up with trends in AI, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
  • Use the wider company network to increase deal flow and market impact.

Requirements

  • Hold a Master's degree in business, economics, engineering, management or a related field.
  • Have at least 3 years of business development, sales or account management experience in a complex B2B setting.
  • Have a proven record of opening new accounts and winning new business.
  • Have worked through complex sales cycles involving several stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
  • Be comfortable using Salesforce or a similar CRM.
  • Be able to engage C-suite stakeholders and communicate, influence and present clearly.
  • Show an entrepreneurial streak, a sense of ownership, resilience, autonomy and determination.
  • Build relationships easily and stay focused on commercial results.
  • Stay curious about AI, cybersecurity and technology trends, and work closely with consulting teams.
  • Be fluent in French and English.
  • Enjoy opening doors where no relationship exists yet, prefer hunting to farming, and keep going through many refusals before a meeting.
  • Strong plus: experience in consulting, technology services, cybersecurity, AI solutions, professional services or SaaS.
  • Strong advantage and key differentiator in the Belgian market: Dutch.

Conditions

Based in Brussels, with flexible and hybrid ways of working.

The company is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from every background.

Benefits

  • Land key accounts in Belgium and at European institutions.
  • Work directly with partners and shape commercial strategy.

  • Draw on more than 5,500 experts while keeping the feel of a 35-person office.
  • Competitive package plus a performance-based bonus.

  • Continuous learning and development opportunities.
  • A structured career framework for long-term growth.
