Description

The role supports patient support programs by combining analytical, business and technology knowledge to help them run well and improve over time.

You act as a technology subject matter resource for the systems used to deliver these services.

You work with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to learn their needs, turn them into requirements, review processes and propose workable solutions.

You use data, process insights and user feedback to raise quality, productivity and compliance, and to improve the experience for internal users, patients and health care professionals.

You lead a team of Technology Leads, making sure resources are used well, individuals perform strongly and business systems work gets delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Decide on an approach to a problem when it falls within your own ability, and build solutions where cause and effect are clear and precedents exist.
  • Use analytical thinking and knowledge of both business and technology to diagnose systems issues and recommend changes.
  • Turn findings from user conversations into business requirements, pinpoint business and system needs, and suggest solutions.
  • Help shape testing strategies and produce early findings.
  • Work with the business to examine processes and needs, recommend the most effective ways to meet them, and propose simpler methods for the most complex procedures.
  • Make technical decisions in close partnership with business subject matter experts, which requires a solid grasp of the business.
  • Contribute ideas in team and client meetings, work well with colleagues toward organizational goals, and lead project planning.
  • Oversee the work of technical and business support staff, keep projects on schedule against milestones, complete tasks set by senior analysts and managers, and guide less experienced staff.
  • Support planning, coordination and delivery of projects and process changes, covering requirements, testing, milestone tracking, documentation and follow-up.
  • Find continuous improvement opportunities, including automation and changes to people, process or technology, and help build process flows, communications, training and rollout plans where needed.
  • Give Technology Leads day-to-day leadership, coaching and direction, with clear expectations, priorities and accountability for deliverables.
  • Manage employee performance and growth, including goal setting, regular feedback, reviews and identifying training opportunities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience that shows comparable technical ability.
  • 3-5 years of experience in specialty pharmacy.
  • Experience building reports that improve efficiency.
  • Experience with continuous improvement is preferred.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
