ATR - Internship - Geospatial Data Science (F/M)

Description

The internship is based at the Blagnac site near Toulouse and is open now.

The work is geospatial data science, carried out within the Market Development team, which works with Marketing & Sales and may give you chances to meet airlines and government bodies.

Responsibilities

• Help develop the MobilityMonitor platform, which explores and communicates human mobility trends.
• Process very large volumes of mobile GPS data with PySpark on MS Azure Databricks.
• Use and improve the analytics pipeline that estimates inter-city travel volumes by transport mode for selected countries, in line with business goals.
• Build interactive dashboards with CARTO and Power BI.
• Develop market stories for specific countries and present your findings inside the company and to customers.

Requirements

• A university education in data science, preferably with a geospatial and aeronautical component.
• Interest in human mobility needs and aviation's role in society.
• Coding ability, and a willingness to learn Python and PySpark if you do not already know them.
• Ability to solve analytical problems by designing and implementing new algorithms.
• Ability to turn data and information into clear communications and dashboards.
• Familiarity with the research behind mobility data processing is a plus.

Conditions

Internship lasting 6 months, starting March or April 2027.

Based in Blagnac (Toulouse).

Recruitment has two stages: an interview with your future manager, then a technical interview with a Data Scientist.
