Description

The company is hiring a Senior Scientist in large molecule bioanalysis to work in its Indiana lab, in a data science role within laboratory operations.

The role focuses on organizing, checking, and scientifically assessing LC/MS data from early drug discovery ADME work on large molecules, new modalities, and biomarkers. The goal is data that is accurate, consistent, and traceable, and that helps guide compound profiling, lead optimization, and program decisions.

The team works across discovery programs, so you will turn complex datasets into clear recommendations for decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and curate LC/MS data from non-regulatory ADME bioanalysis studies that support exploratory and pilot in vivo PK/PD toxicology work.
  • Check that data stays accurate, complete, consistent, and traceable from raw LC/MS output through processed results and internal reports.
  • Review data scientifically to catch outliers, errors, and artifacts caused by the analytical method or data processing.
  • Compare ADME parameters across compounds, projects, and assay formats to inform structure-activity and property decisions.
  • Work with DMPK, analytical, informatics, and project teams to interpret results and improve pipelines, automation, visualization tools, and throughput.
  • Bring together data from internal and external CRO partners, keeping study designs, metadata, methods, and outputs aligned.
  • Produce summaries, tables, figures, dashboards, and integrated discovery data packages that support compound advancement and portfolio decisions.
  • Set up standard data formats, naming conventions, metadata practices, and repeatable workflows that others can reuse.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in analytical chemistry, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, or a closely related science.
  • 3-7+ years of work with LC/MS data in discovery-stage ADME or DMPK settings.
  • A solid grasp of LC/MS workflows, quantitative data analysis, and common discovery ADME assays.
  • Experience judging data quality and spotting analytical, method, and data-processing artifacts.
  • Familiarity with high-resolution mass spectrometry bioanalysis and workflows for large molecules, new drug modalities, or biomarkers.
  • Knowledge of bioanalytical workflows for oligonucleotides, proteins, peptides, antibody-drug conjugates, ionizable lipids in lipid nanoparticles, and amino acids.
  • Analytical thinking that turns complex data into clear, actionable insight.
  • Careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to data integrity.
  • Ability to work effectively with bioanalytical scientists, DMPK teams, project coordinators, study directors, CROs, informatics, and IT partners.
  • Clear communication of data assumptions, limitations, trends, inconsistencies, and conclusions to scientific audiences.
  • Strong organization and the ability to build standardized, reproducible data management practices.
  • Equivalent education, training, and experience may be accepted in place of the degree.

Conditions

Base pay ranges from $64,200.00 to $133,600.00 per year.

Actual pay depends on factors such as knowledge, skills, education, experience, location, and schedule (full-time or part-time).

Incentive plans, bonuses, or other compensation may be offered depending on the position.

Application information must be truthful and complete; false statements or omissions can lead to disqualification or termination.

Benefits

  • Integrated benefits programs covering physical, mental, emotional, financial, and social well-being, available at every stage of life.
  • Health and welfare benefits, which may be offered in addition to pay and incentives.
