Description

This is a creative leadership role in the Teamsport business unit, covering the unit's brand goals and objectives.

The group owns three brands, operates in more than 120 countries and employs around 22,000 people worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Build detailed creative strategies for Teamsport that match the wider brand and the unit's targets, protect brand identity and draw in the target audience.
  • Own seasonal creative directions from start to finish, working with external agencies and partners as needed.
  • Set out content plans and message priorities that lead to the assets that are needed.
  • Work with owners of paid media, PR, organic social, commercial marketing and ecommerce to carry ideas into their channel plans.
  • Guide creative work through every stage, from first concepts and design development to final delivery, and build production-ready files across layout, typography, colour, print, digital and video in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Find, hire and brief external partners such as agencies, photographers, illustrators, animators, producers and content creators.
  • Manage several agency relationships and designers across projects, keeping a clear design voice and high precision.
  • Write creative guidelines for regional teams adapting global concepts, including proposals, mood boards and internal documents, and produce the layouts and final files they need.
  • Use research, market trends, benchmarks, feedback and consumer insight to spot opportunities and support strategic decisions.
  • Mentor and lead the creative team, set clear expectations and make sure performance and results meet them.
  • Present creative work persuasively to cross-functional partners and senior leaders.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of progressive creative experience across brand, digital, film, retail and print, ideally in footwear, apparel, sport or lifestyle.
  • A strong portfolio that shows strategic thinking, distinctive concepts, integrated campaigns and consistently high craft across channels.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring creative talent, giving clear and constructive direction, and managing agencies and specialist partners.
  • A record of leading complex, high-visibility creative work from brief and concept through production, approval and delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of creative strategy, art direction, typography, colour theory, digital and interactive design, video storytelling and print production.
  • Expert skill in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Strong strategy, presentation and stakeholder skills, with the confidence to explain a creative vision, handle feedback and influence senior and cross-functional partners.
  • Good communication, judgement and prioritisation, with the ability to work independently, make sound creative calls and run several initiatives in a fast-moving setting.
  • Experience directing studio and location photo and video shoots, briefing talent and partners and keeping creative quality high throughout production.
  • Optional, marked as an advantage: motion and 3D experience.
