This role directs art day to day for the studio's TCG line, turning the studio's creative vision into concrete direction for illustrators and concept artists.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily art direction for the TCG line so every card, product and experience reaches a premium, collectible-quality standard
  • Turn the Creative Director's broader vision into clear briefs, style guides and reference material for illustrators and concept artists
  • Give direct creative feedback and revision guidance to in-house artists and freelancers at every stage, from concept to final delivery
  • Keep visual consistency across sets, products and formats as the line expands
  • Work with Design, Brand, Licensing and Production so art fits gameplay, brand and licensor requirements
  • Present art direction in reviews with executive leadership, licensors and external partners

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional art direction or game art experience, including shipped work on premium physical products, games or collectibles
  • Experience commissioning art from freelancers or vendors and running the feedback cycle from brief through revisions to final approval
  • A record of defining or evolving the visual identity of an IP, brand or product line
  • Solid knowledge of illustration pipelines, print production specs and digital asset delivery
  • Background in trading cards, tabletop games or collectibles, or a real passion for them
  • Strong visual taste and the ability to give precise, constructive, inspiring creative direction
  • Clear communicator who can turn creative vision into actionable direction for artists and cross-functional partners
  • Able to weigh creative ambition against production limits and deadlines
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, plus asset management systems
  • Calm and organized, able to run several art workstreams at once without losing attention to detail
