This is an intermediate Applications Development Programmer Analyst role in the Technology job family. You will help plan and build new or revised application systems and programs with the Technology team.

The goal of the role is to support applications systems analysis and programming work.

Responsibilities

• Draw on your knowledge of application development methods and concepts, plus basic knowledge of other technical areas, to find and define system enhancements. Use script tools and read and interpret code.
• Advise users, clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming fixes, and install and support customer-facing systems.
• Apply a working knowledge of programming languages to design specifications.
• Review applications for vulnerabilities and security issues, and test and debug them.
• Advise and coach newer or junior analysts.
• Identify problems, analyze information, make sound judgments, and recommend and carry out solutions.
• Settle issues by choosing solutions based on your experience and past precedent.
• Work with limited direct supervision and use your own judgment and independence.
• Serve as subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
• Weigh risk in business decisions with attention to the firm's reputation and the protection of the company, its clients and its assets. Follow laws, rules, regulations and policy, use sound ethics, and escalate, manage and report control issues openly.
• Make day-to-day decisions on your own: assess complex situations, resolve problems and choose courses of action. Drive delivery in your area and answer for quality and timelines, which may affect business results in scope. Review outputs, guide approach where needed, close gaps, and take ownership of your decisions and deliverables.
• Turn direction into concrete steps and follow them through. Handle non-routine problems with judgment, make sure processes are applied consistently, and keep work reliable, timely and high quality as requirements and priorities change.
• Apply domain knowledge and advanced analysis to meet established standards. Assess business requirements, form reasoned views, and recommend solutions the business can implement. Adapt standard methods where needed and consider the wider business context.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial services.
• Intermediate experience in an applications development role.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust to unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.

Conditions

Full-time position based in Tampa, Florida, United States.

Primary location full-time salary range: $76,560.00 - $106,840.00.
