Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Description

The company is a large bank that wants its people to grow across many kinds of work from their first day.

The team is hiring a senior full stack software engineer to design, build and scale modern web applications for enterprise use. The work covers frontend, backend, cloud-native architecture and containerized microservices. The ideal candidate has a record of shipping secure, scalable, high-performing applications in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full-stack web applications that scale for large enterprise user bases and business-critical functions.
• Build modern user interfaces with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.
• Design and deliver RESTful APIs, microservices and backend services in Node.js, Python and Java Spring Boot.
• Work with product managers, designers and engineers to turn business needs into technical solutions.
• Improve performance, scalability, reliability and maintainability across the frontend and backend.
• Design database schemas, data models, indexes and queries for relational databases.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments and cloud-native solutions using modern DevOps practices.
• Apply security best practices, including authentication, authorization, data privacy and secure coding.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience building and supporting large-scale web applications.
• Optional: Deep knowledge of React.js, including Hooks, Context API and state management with Redux or Zustand.
• Optional: Strong experience building with Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3.
• Optional: Hands-on backend work in Node.js (Express or NestJS) and/or Python (FastAPI or Flask).
• Optional: Strong knowledge of Java Spring Boot, microservices architecture and API development.
• Optional: Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, including data modeling and performance tuning.
• Optional: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, Docker and Kubernetes containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Optional: Strong understanding of application security, including OAuth, JWT, XSS, CSRF and secure data handling.

Conditions

You will work from a the company location at least three days per week.
