Description

The team is CMM, part of a Fortune 10 healthcare company that delivers insights, products and services to make quality care more accessible and affordable.

You will design, build and deploy AI-powered features for healthcare products and services, working across front-end interfaces, back-end AI model integration and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship enterprise-grade software applications driven by AI.
  • Develop scalable applications that connect LLMs and other AI tools, such as voice recognition, document and image parsing, text to speech and RAG, to both new and legacy code.
  • Design and tune data pipelines and datasets used to build and test AI systems.
  • Explain LLMs, vector databases and other modern AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Refine prompts to get the best LLM performance, and set up prompt caching.
  • Maintain prompt libraries and benchmark their performance.
  • Fine-tune and serve GPT-family and Llama models.
  • Build AI agents with Semantic Kernel.
  • Prototype co-pilot experiences and autonomous workflows.
  • Document all work at the code and application level.
  • Learn and adapt as the environment changes.
  • Work with other staff and outside stakeholders on large projects.
  • Stay motivated to build solutions and tackle complex problems.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of software development experience.
  • At least 2 years building AI-enhanced applications using LLMs, voice, image or speech models.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • Evaluate and optimise AI systems using precision, recall, F1-score and AUC-ROC, and apply MLOps for scalable, cost-efficient deployment.
  • Build RAG systems from scratch or with LangChain or LlamaIndex, using vector databases for context-aware LLM applications.
  • Expert in managing LLM costs through token pricing, input and output rates, prompt caching, batching and quantization.
  • Understand GPT-3.5, GPT-4 and o1 "thinking" models well enough to pick and tune the right one.
  • Analyse data to extract actionable insights.
  • Use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Codeium/Windsurf.
  • Proficient in Python and AI libraries such as openai, TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Healthcare domain knowledge, with the ability to turn clinical and business needs into AI solutions.
  • Build Node.js web applications, for example with Express.js.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Communicate effectively with technical, DevOps and product management teams.
  • Experience with Git, Docker and Kubernetes.
