Description

Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.

The Company operates Snapchat , a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world, and Specs Inc. , a wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to making computing more human, in addition to Bitmoji , Saturn, and other digital services.

Some core features we build and maintain include Snapchat’s Camera, Creative Tools, Maps, Chat, Memories, Stories, Discover, Games, and Minis. Our Infrastructure teams deliver an innovative and cost-efficient platform that ensures Snapchat is the fastest way to communicate with your friends, no matter where you are in the world. We have one of the fastest growing digital ad platforms, and our Monetization teams drive measurable returns for advertisers through novel ad formats like Augmented Reality. As a Snap Engineering team member, you’ll help us build the future of communication.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Application Engineer to join our Finance Technology team. You’ll build and operate business-critical applications that connect Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, supporting hardware development and production from planning and procurement through inventory, costing, and financial reporting.

This is an end-to-end engineering role. You’ll work directly with business and technical partners, turn complex operational needs into simple and reliable products, and own solutions from discovery and architecture through delivery, adoption, and production support. The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack engineering skills with an understanding of enterprise systems, data integrity, and finance or manufacturing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and operate secure, scalable web applications and services used by Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  • Own features across the full stack, including user experience, data models, APIs, business logic, integrations, automated testing, and observability.
  • Develop reliable integrations among ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, warehouse, procurement, finance, and analytics platforms using APIs, events, and batch processing at Scale.
  • Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to understand processes, challenge assumptions, define requirements, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Improve system performance and resilience through monitoring, alerting, service-level objectives, capacity planning, and effective incident response.
  • Raise engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, automated tests, CI/CD, documentation, and pragmatic technical standards.
  • Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and help create an inclusive, high-ownership engineering culture.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong full-stack development skills using JavaScript or TypeScript and at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Strong experience developing backend services and APIs using one or more languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js and the ability to learn our stack quickly.
  • Sound understanding of application architecture, object-oriented and domain-driven design, distributed systems, and common integration patterns.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear product, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and non-engineering teams.
  • A practical ownership mindset: you simplify complexity, make sound tradeoffs, and follow through on reliability and user outcomes.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of full-stack application or software engineering experience after earning a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree in a technical field plus 3+ years of post-graduate full-stack engineering experience; or a PhD in a relevant technical field.
  • Professional experience building, shipping, and supporting production-grade, end-to-end web applications.
  • Hands-on experience with a modern front-end framework, back-end services, relational databases, and system integrations.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with finance, ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, warehouse management, procurement, or supply-chain applications.
  • Experience building auditable systems in a controlled environment, including segregation of duties and SOX-aligned controls.
  • Interest in using automation and AI-assisted capabilities responsibly to improve business workflows and engineering productivity.
  • Passion for Snap products and for building tools that help teams do their best work.
  • "Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. To reflect this, we practice a “default together” approach and expect our team members to work in an office 4+ days per week.
