The company is hiring a project manager to guide its shift from hand-run protection and control engineering to a model where AI assists the work and people verify its output.
You will plan, coordinate and deliver an AI-enabled workflow covering the full life of protection and control projects. You will run several project scopes at once, keep scope in check, hold timelines, and work alongside the development team that builds the technical solution.
You will connect engineering, drafting, testing, manufacturing and digital groups to build a scalable toolchain that improves speed, quality, repeatability and traceability, with engineering judgment staying central.
The ideal candidate is a technically credible project leader with firsthand electrical engineering background, strong project management and Agile/Scrum facilitation skills, hands-on Jira and Confluence use, and experience delivering AI or automation in an industrial setting.
This is a new vacancy.
Responsibilities
Lead planning, coordination and delivery of an end-to-end AI workflow for electrical engineering automation across the project lifecycle, working directly with developers on the technical build.
Specify and coordinate the integration of AI tools and platforms, such as large language models, structured data pipelines, generative engineering workflows and automated drawing solutions.
Design and maintain the workflow architecture for requirements capture, feasibility analysis, solution design, wiring generation, FAT script generation, SAT script generation and continuous improvement.
Apply working knowledge of data structures, prompt frameworks, engineering knowledge libraries and traceability methods so AI outputs are high quality.
Set human-verification checkpoints at every stage, defining approval criteria, reviewer duties and structured feedback capture.
Oversee AI tools that read customer RFQs, specifications, single-line diagrams and technical data to produce structured requirements and feasibility outputs.
Drive AI-assisted development of single-line diagrams, protection schemes, relay recommendations, bills of materials, configuration outputs and panel layouts.
Work with the development team to automate wiring drawings in AutoCAD Electrical or an equivalent platform.
Guide the build of AI-driven FAT and SAT procedure generation using approved design packages, drawings, relay settings and site constraints.
Drive adoption through training, change support and methods for working with and validating AI-generated outputs.
Define and track KPIs such as first-pass accuracy, verification cycle time, drawing revision rates and test-script quality.
Improve future AI performance by collecting feedback from project execution, as-built data, test outcomes and user reviews.
Manage several concurrent project scopes, curb scope creep and keep timelines on track.
Use Jira, Confluence and other Agile/Scrum tools to plan, track and report work.
Act as Scrum Master and Agile facilitator for cross-functional teams, running sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement and retrospectives.
Handle program management for the AI workflow, including scheduling, resourcing, budget tracking, risk management and status reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, computer engineering or a related field with a strong electrical focus.
At least 5 years in protection and control engineering, power systems, related electrical engineering, or AI project delivery.
Experience delivering AI-enabled tools, engineering automation or digital workflows in a technical or industrial setting, with enough technical grounding to plan, scope and sequence work.
Solid working knowledge of Jira and Confluence for project tracking, sprint planning and documentation.
Proven record managing several concurrent project scopes, controlling scope creep and holding timelines.
Familiarity with the AI project lifecycle: data collection, model development, testing, deployment and monitoring.
Strong communication and stakeholder skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired: experience in protection and control panel design, manufacturing, FAT/SAT, commissioning or comparable technical project environments.
Desired: knowledge of standards such as IEC 61439, IEC 60255, IEC 62271, IEC 61850, NEMA, CSA or equivalent.
