Description

The Commercial Aircraft Group (CAG) at the East Aurora, NY site is hiring an AI Developer for its technology team. The team is collaborative and works on new ideas.

The company is a global maker of high-performance motion control systems for aerospace, defense, industrial, and medical customers.

The role supports building, rolling out, and adopting artificial intelligence tools that improve business processes, support better decisions, and make operations more efficient. You will work with stakeholders from several functions to find AI opportunities and deliver solutions that scale and meet business goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered applications that improve business operations and user experience.
• Find places to apply AI, machine learning, and generative AI across the organization.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their problems, define requirements, and build AI-driven solutions.
• Create proofs of concept and pilot projects that show business value and support strategic goals.
• Build and maintain links between AI platforms, enterprise applications, databases, and business systems.
• Write and refine prompts, workflows, and AI interactions to improve how well solutions perform.
• Help deploy, test, validate, and keep improving AI solutions.
• Make sure AI solutions meet security, governance, compliance, and Responsible AI standards.
• Work with IT, cybersecurity, and business teams so new technology is adopted successfully.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and support procedures.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot problems, and make ongoing improvements.
• Assess new AI technologies and recommend those that fit organizational goals.
• Give technical guidance and share knowledge with project teams and business stakeholders.
• Support digital transformation through automation and AI-driven process changes.
• Keep strong working relationships with internal customers so solutions keep meeting their changing needs.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, information systems, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience developing software in modern languages such as Python, C, JavaScript, or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of AI, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning concepts.
• Experience building, integrating, and supporting business applications and enterprise solutions.
• Experience working with APIs, databases, and data integration technologies.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle methods and Agile practices.
• Experience turning business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including explaining technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage several priorities and work across technical and business teams.
• Self-motivated, with a drive to innovate and keep improving.
• Preferred: experience with Microsoft AI technologies, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, or Copilot solutions.
• Preferred: experience with data analytics, reporting, and visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, data privacy requirements, and Responsible AI practices.

Conditions

Onsite in Buffalo, NY.

Base salary range is $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year. Actual pay depends on factors such as location, experience, and performance. The range is one part of the total compensation, which may also include annual bonuses, an employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and region-specific benefits.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
