Description

The company is a full service global digital agency, combining strategy, creative, data and media buying and planning expertise with technology under one integrated roof. With almost 2,000 Jellies across 38 offices worldwide, we are the unconventional global marketing partner of the future.

We understand both brand and activation. We ensure our clients reach, influence and connect with the right audiences and fans based on data that reveals the insights to deliver exceptional creative solutions across any platform. In short, we create and deliver culturally relevant creativity that cuts through the clutter and sets hearts (and feeds) on fire.

As part of the Brandtech Group we’re at the forefront of the deployment of GenAI tools across every aspect of what we do and in PencilPro we have the world’s No 1 generative AI platform, revolutionising the process of creative production, distribution and performance prediction.

Reporting to the Head of People Development, you will turn our learning ideas into working products. You'll take those prototypes and make them into reliable, secure apps that people use every day.

Our goal is to turn all of our learning into an agentic solution that meets employees where they are, so they can learn in real time, in the flow of work. You'll join a small, distributed team, work alongside a senior architect who owns our core platform, and grow your craft as our products grow.

Responsibilities

  • Build and Ship Learning Products
  • Turn learning and performance designs into working software and app features.
  • Help take AI-built prototypes into production, from the front end through to the database.
  • Build wireframes and working prototypes to test new ideas quickly with real users.
  • Fix bugs, ship improvements and keep our products running smoothly.
  • Build Agentic Learning Experiences
  • Build learning experiences that live inside the tools people already use, with no separate login.
  • Build on the core platform and agent architecture owned by our senior architect, so employees get the right support at the moment they need it.
  • Connect Systems and Data
  • Work with the People Systems team to connect our learning products with our HR system, skills platform and role frameworks.
  • Maintain integrations across the learning technology stack.
  • Support the move from several learning platforms to one, including migration of content and records.
  • Work as Part of a Distributed Team
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and learning partners across time zones.
  • Put the employee first, testing with real users and gathering feedback to improve.
  • Document what you build so others can use, support and extend it.

Requirements

  • About 1–3 years building web applications, internal tools or digital products (professional, freelance or substantial personal projects).
  • Hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI, or a similar Python web framework.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy and Alembic, or an equivalent ORM and migration workflow.
  • You have built server-rendered pages with Jinja2 or a similar templating engine.
  • Proficient building with Claude Code.
  • You have deployed at least one working app (personal, academic or professional). Please, share it with us through a portfolio, GitHub or a live demo.
  • You generate unique ideas and experiment with new methods and technologies to solve complex issues.
  • When faced with a problem, you collaborate with the appropriate people to evaluate different options and find practical solutions.
  • You embrace challenges as opportunities and seek feedback to enhance your skills.
  • Note: We emphasise skills, expertise and behavioural attributes over years of experience and traditional degrees. If you want to join our collaborative team, we invite you to apply today with your resume in English.
  • Additional Information
  • Join the company and experience a workplace where we prioritise your growth, celebrate your contributions, and empower you to tailor your work environment to suit your needs.
  • Custom Work Environment: Work remotely for up to 60% of your days and shape your day between 8am. and 6:30pm with flexible working hours.
  • Family Support: Enjoy 14 weeks of paid leave for primary caregivers and 4 weeks of paid leave for secondary caregivers. We also provide £1000 (or equivalent) towards courses for returning primary caregivers to support your transition back into work.
  • Unfortunately, there has been an increase in fake recruiters impersonating the company and unlawfully using our brand name. If you are unsure if an email with a job offer you have received is genuinely from the company, or if you suspect any fraudulent activity, please report it to the company's site .
