Lead Engineer

Description

The company is building the technology platform behind millions of customer interactions each year. The cloud platform it runs lets engineering teams build, test, deploy and operate software safely, securely and at scale.

This is a Lead Engineer role in the Developer Experience team, leading a team of three engineers who improve the tools, platforms and developer experiences that help other technology teams ship faster and with more confidence. It is hands-on, combining technical work, coaching and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a small team of engineers, building an environment where people learn, try new ideas and keep improving.
• Design, build and extend developer tooling that makes engineering teams across the company more effective.
• Help define platform engineering standards, automation approaches and software delivery practices.
• Work with engineering teams to clear blockers so they can deliver software faster, more safely and more reliably.
• Give technical guidance on complex platform and developer experience problems.

Requirements

• Solid experience building applications, tools or platforms with.NET, TypeScript, Node.js and modern JavaScript.
• Ability to build developer tooling that raises productivity, software quality and engineering efficiency.
• Enthusiasm for better developer experiences through automation, self-service and intuitive tools.
• Knowledge of software testing practices that support reliable, well-built solutions.
• Understanding of public cloud platforms, continuous integration, continuous deployment and modern Agile ways of working.
