Description

The team shapes how people will interact with the company's vehicles, using advanced interfaces, immersive visuals and experiences that connect emotionally.

You will help set the design foundation for customer experiences looking 10 years ahead and beyond.

Your work is to imagine and present future vehicle experiences and to propose new opportunities through concept visuals, animation, prototypes and 2D and 3D design.

The role combines foresight, creative thinking, strategy, industrial design and digital visualization to craft mobility experiences that are intuitive, inclusive and forward-looking.

Responsibilities

  • Keep learning through research into society, technology, economics, policy and sustainability.
  • Pinpoint and explain the main disruptions that could change vehicle transport and the wider mobility sector.
  • Work through repeated design cycles that weigh current and emerging technology against present and expected customer needs.
  • Build forward-looking visions that set out customer value, required vehicle attributes, hardware and software features, technical requirements and expected experience outcomes.
  • Develop advanced UX concepts and visual directions for future in-vehicle experiences, using storyboards, narrative flows and visual storytelling.
  • Create concept illustrations, UI explorations, 3D models and animations that show future interactions, and guide others in making them.
  • Hand over finished assets such as layouts, sketches, motion graphics and user journeys, ready for team collaboration, customer research or implementation partners.
  • Work with design, research, engineering, product and supplier colleagues, presenting foresight from UX, mobility, AI and technology trends to shape product and service decisions.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in industrial design, transportation design, UX design, human interface design or a related field.
  • Demonstrated skill in 2D sketching and rendering, 3D concept modeling, animation and presentation visuals.
  • A curated portfolio showing a customer-centred approach and original solutions to clearly defined customer needs.
  • Portfolio proposals that cover physical and digital interactions across the vehicle and its wider ecosystem.
  • Portfolio work that applies a range of design, visualization, animation and communication methods to different design challenges.
  • Preferred: industrial design experience, ideally automotive, with strong 2D sketching and rendering and 3D concept modeling in tools such as Alias or Blender.
  • Preferred: concept animation skills in any combination of VRED, Blender, Twinmotion, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, VIZCOM or KeyShot.
  • Preferred: PowerPoint skills for clear, easily edited presentations of complex design narratives.
