Description

The company's customers expect its networks to perform well at all hours, and this System Performance Engineer 3 role is central to meeting that.

You will investigate, evaluate and fix complex network and data performance problems so that service stays optimal and reliable.

The work uses current 5G optimization methods and AI tools to improve network efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The team is responsible for keeping service quality high across LTE and 5G networks.

Responsibilities

  • Track end-to-end service performance trends and identify the root causes behind affected services.
  • Run full LTE, 5G, VoLTE and VoNR tests and analyse the related KPIs in depth.
  • Tune LTE, 5G NR and RAN networks using established methods and newer AI-driven automation tools.
  • Take ownership of escalated customer service and coverage complaints and resolve them.
  • Optimise embedded networks so new macro sites, small cells, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and In-Building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) integrate smoothly.
  • Use predictive AI models and analytics to forecast congestion, adjust parameter settings and automate troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • You are customer-focused and willing to own a problem until it is resolved.
  • You can analyse a complex problem and propose solutions.
  • You work independently and also collaborate well with varied business teams and vendors to put fixes in place.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree or have four or more years of work experience.
  • You have four or more years of relevant experience, gained through work, military service or both.
  • You have hands-on experience optimising 5G NR and LTE network performance.
  • You hold a valid driver's license.
  • You are willing to travel for up to roughly 25% of the time.
  • You are willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends when operations require it.
  • Even better if you have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related technical field.
  • Even better if you know 5G NR, LTE, VoLTE, VoNR and RAN architecture and protocols well.
  • Even better if you use AI and machine learning tools for network analytics, automated root-cause analysis and predictive maintenance, such as Claude, custom Python scripts or AI-based network orchestration tools.
  • Even better if you understand IP, transport protocols and backhaul performance well.
  • Even better if you have worked with network optimisation, data analysis and SP tools such as TrueCall, Atoll, Dmat or trace analysis tools.
  • Even better if you have experience with Samsung RAN systems, including USM (Unified Element Manager), and 3GPP standards.
  • Even better if you can reliably tell RAN issues from CORE issues and diagnose each.
  • Even better if you have expertise in inter-modulation, distortion, RF interference detection and mitigation.
  • Even better if you show strong analytical problem-solving skills and communicate technical topics clearly.
  • You are encouraged to apply even if you do not meet every 'even better' item.

Conditions

This is a hybrid role with a set work location: you work from home and spend at least three days a week in the office, as your manager sets.

You are responsible for following the hybrid work policies.
