2027 Technology Developer Graduate Programme Knutsford

Description

You will design, build and improve software using a range of engineering methods, providing business, platform and technology capabilities to customers and colleagues.

This is a 1 year fast-track graduate programme, with job-based training from day one to build specialist technical skills.

You will solve complex problems for clients and customers using systems that run across the company, not just writing code.

Technologies you may use include Java, C++, C, Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, containers, DevOps, cloud, machine learning, scripting and real-time systems.

The Knutsford campus covers 64 acres of gardens around the historic Radbroke Hall and is being redeveloped into a sustainable workspace for collaboration and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver reliable software with current languages, frameworks and tools, writing code that scales, is easy to maintain and runs fast.
• Work with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements, choose solution approaches and make new code fit business goals and existing systems.
• Review colleagues' code and share knowledge to raise code quality across the team.
• Write code that protects sensitive data and avoids common security weaknesses.
• Write unit tests that check design, readability and reliability.
• Carry out assigned tasks on time and to a high standard, driving continuous improvement.
• Build deep technical knowledge in your area and understand the principles behind it.
• If you lead people, guide and support their development, assign work and coordinate team resources. Leaders show the LEAD behaviours: listen and be authentic, energise and inspire, align across the enterprise and develop others.
• If you are an individual contributor, build technical expertise and advise others where useful.
• Influence decisions in your area and work with related teams and partner functions.

• You are a recent graduate or will graduate soon.
