Description

The company needs a lead to coordinate and integrate its Zero Trust work across teams.

You will keep that work aligned with guidance from the IC Zero Trust architecture committee and report it accurately to leadership and IC partners.

The role suits someone who stays organized, pays close attention to detail, and can run complex technical work with many stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Sit in on the monthly IC CIO ZTA Committee meeting as an observer only.
  • Take detailed notes on topics that affect the company or the IC, and write executive briefs for leadership.
  • Gather and file meeting materials such as presentations and documents.
  • Host the company's monthly Zero Trust Working Group and present relevant updates there.
  • Track Zero Trust initiatives across company components and keep that tracking current.
  • Pass along changes to Zero Trust metrics, policy, definitions and capabilities that come from IC CIO ZTAC decisions.
  • Gather team input, check it for accuracy, and consolidate it before it goes to leadership.
  • Review the status of ongoing Zero Trust work and flag emerging initiatives.
  • Host biweekly Zero Trust Architecture tag-up meetings with security, data, identity, application and networking groups.
  • Keep up with ZT projects and make sure they follow changing IC guidance.
  • Tell stakeholders about new Zero Trust decisions and their impact.
  • Answer Zero Trust questions and concerns, and escalate issues to leadership when needed.
  • Record progress and prepare material for future reports to the IC CIO ZTA Committee.
  • Log, track, and coordinate responses to IC CIO ZTA Committee taskers.
  • Brief leadership on new taskers, including the expected tone, format and technical approach.
  • Work with policy or governance groups when taskers involve roadmap or delivery timeline inputs.
  • Draft tasker responses using leadership direction, policy and budget alignment, team feedback, and ZTAC timelines.
  • Send drafts to leadership for review and authorization.
  • Never submit a response without approval from designated government staff.
  • Write the biannual Zero Trust status reports for delivery to the IC CIO ZTA Committee.
  • Answer leadership's ad hoc Zero Trust information requests quickly and accurately.
  • Stay current on Zero Trust policy, initiatives, capabilities and emerging technologies.
  • Answer Zero Trust questions from government staff, partners and team members.
  • Maintain a reference map linking Zero Trust capabilities to current and newly acquired software platforms.
  • Create and update Zero Trust documents, presentations and visual materials.
  • Help team members build Zero Trust-aligned documents and artifacts.
  • Keep the company's Zero Trust repository current with documents, policies and supporting material.

  • A bachelor's degree, ideally a BA or BS in an IT-related field, plus 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience leading or supporting Zero Trust initiatives in government or enterprise environments.
  • A solid grasp of Zero Trust principles, ICAM, network segmentation, data protection and cybersecurity architecture.
