Description

The company builds AI software that helps healthcare clinics handle their dealings with insurers, from getting doctors credentialed as in-network to tracking the rates insurers agree to pay and checking that payments match those rates.

Roughly $1 trillion, or 20% to 25% of US healthcare spending, goes to administration each year, and much of that load comes from clinics keeping up with constantly changing rules across more than 900 insurance companies.

The company works with over 1,900 clinics in 45 states and is growing fast. It is a small team with ambitious goals and has reached mid-six figures in ARR. It is hiring a founding engineer to support thousands more clinics and help reach a Series A. The team works in person from its Tribeca office in NYC and travels regularly to conferences and customer sites across the country.

The founders are Harvard computer science graduates with past experience at Stripe, Bridgewater, Meta and venture-backed healthcare startups. Investors include Y Combinator, Wayfinder Ventures and Peak XV (formerly Sequoia India & SEA), among others.

You will help shape the product direction alongside the founders, Sophia and Veronica. You will learn what customers struggle with and build software to address it, working as well on customer relationships as on independently designing new features.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for a set of customers, guiding them from the demo through implementation, deployment and ongoing support.
  • Turn customer feedback into features, taking a request like "this would help my clinic" to a working tool customers can use.
  • Design and implement new features and products.
  • Work with the founders on the company's long-term strategy, including which customer segments to explore and which products to build next.

Requirements

  • You have experience building software and can work through unfamiliar systems and investigate problems with unclear causes.
  • The stack is a TypeScript monorepo with an Express/Supabase backend and a React + Vite frontend. Prior experience with these exact tools is not required.
  • You use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or Devin daily and know where LLMs help and where they fall short.
  • You communicate well and genuinely enjoy talking with customers. You care about understanding their problems and priorities and follow through with empathy.
  • You can take an ambiguous problem to a shipped solution and are willing to do the unglamorous parts of the work.
  • You bring curiosity, practicality and a collaborative attitude, and you enjoy the everyday moments at work alongside the hard work.
  • A degree in computer science, engineering or applied math, or equivalent ability shown through projects and work.
  • At least 1 year of experience.
  • Authorized to work in the United States. Visa: US citizen/visa only.
  • Able to work in person at the Tribeca NYC office. The team typically works 5 days a week in person, around 60 hours per week, starting at 9am.
