Description

The company builds autonomous defence platforms and AI-driven software for NATO Allies and partners, tested in demanding environments.

You will join the C-UAS Edge Software team, which develops counter-unmanned aerial system technology and works across hardware and software to run real-time software on edge systems.

The team iterates quickly and tests in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Help design, build and test edge software for autonomous UAV and counter-UAS platforms, working directly with software and hardware colleagues.
  • Build and integrate C-UAS software components for edge processing on embedded Linux.
  • Help implement real-time signal processing, sensor fusion and telemetry data pipelines.
  • Test software in simulation and support physical field tests on UAV hardware.
  • Tune algorithms to run efficiently on low-power edge hardware and embedded computing units.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to solve hardware-software integration problems.
  • Write clear technical documentation and automated test suites for software releases.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related technical field.
  • Solid programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux, networking protocols and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with UAV architectures, robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2, or drone flight controllers such as PX4 or ArduPilot.
  • Fluent English and strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or field flight testing of unmanned aircraft.
  • Experience with edge AI acceleration hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson or Coral.
  • Knowledge of RF technologies, radar systems or optical sensing for counter-drone applications.
  • You must be eligible to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for this role. Details follow during the recruitment process.
  • To apply, send your CV in English.

Conditions

Due to the defence sector nature of the work, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for this position.

Benefits

  • The software you work on protects personnel and supports European and national sovereignty.
  • You will work with leading experts on autonomous systems, advanced propulsion and secure cyber platforms.
  • The environment is fast-moving and collaborative, backed by substantial R&D funding.
