Description

The company makes Work AI software: enterprise search, an AI assistant, and AI agents that run on one secure, open platform. It connects to over 100 enterprise SaaS tools, lets customers pick their LLM, and offers APIs so organizations can govern, scale, and customize AI without vendor lock-in or lengthy implementations.

Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map how people, content, and activity relate, which lets the AI give personalized, context-aware answers. Its AI agents work across teams and draw on enterprise and public data, both structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. Customers across more than 50 industries use it, and the company has over 1,000 employees in more than 25 countries.

This is a new Product Growth engineering function, and you will help set it up and lead it. The team covers the path from a user's invitation and first sign-in through activation, onboarding, regular use, re-engagement, and wider adoption across teams. Its work spans login and setup flows, the home page, navigation, desktop and browser experiences, in-product education, lifecycle messages, and product-led expansion.

You will work where product engineering, data, experimentation, and applied AI meet. It is a hands-on, full stack leadership role: you guide architecture, work closely with product, design, and data science, and grow the team.

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical direction and lead delivery of growth work across the user-facing experiences.
  • Work with Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and Applied AI to find and rank chances to raise awareness, adoption, activation, and engagement.
  • Lead full-stack engineers in building measurable experiences that help users get value sooner and come back more often.
  • Use product data, customer input, behavior analysis, and experiments to find growth opportunities and guide technical and product decisions.
  • Build a solid experimentation and measurement practice: hypotheses, success metrics, instrumentation, experiment design, analysis, and iteration.
  • Own projects from end to end, starting with a user or customer problem and running through design, build, launch, measurement, and follow-up.
  • Stay involved in code and architecture: contribute directly when needed, review designs and code, debug hard issues, and keep a high technical bar.
  • Provide strong backend and systems leadership, working well across the full stack and the user-facing product.
  • Work with engineering teams across the company to deliver a cohesive experience and build scalable foundations for growth.
  • Talk with users and customers when it helps, to understand their needs, spot friction, and confirm growth work solves real problems.
  • As the team grows, hire, coach, and develop engineers, set sound engineering practices, and foster ownership, learning, and high-quality work.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience building production distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
  • 1+ years of engineering management experience leading a full-stack team.
  • A BS or BA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A product-minded software engineering leader who has built and shipped user-facing products, ideally in B2B SaaS, AI, productivity, collaboration, or other highly engaging software.
  • A record of delivering results, leading engineers through ambiguity, making sound technical calls, and shipping outcomes that matter.
  • Experience working with Product Managers, Designers, and Data Scientists to define problems, weigh tradeoffs, and ship measurable improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills to read user behavior, size opportunities, set success metrics, and judge experiment results.
  • Hands-on experience with growth, experimentation, activation, adoption, engagement, retention, or other data-driven product optimization.
  • A solid grasp of customer needs and a preference for building products people find, adopt, and use often.
  • A plus: experience with agentic AI products, large language model applications, machine learning systems, or AI-assisted product experiences.
