Staff Software Engineer, DevOps - Moveworks

Description

This is a staff-level DevOps role focused on building and scaling the company's AI cloud infrastructure and developer platform.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow the company's AI cloud infrastructure and developer platform.
• Partner with the platform, machine learning, search, data and frontend teams to learn their DevOps and infrastructure needs, shape the DevOps roadmap, and both lead and carry out projects.
• Design, build and run cloud infrastructure across many regions and clouds, with attention to security, scalability, performance, observability, resilience and cost.
• Create CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure as code and automation that provisions and manages the application stack in every environment.
• Work with the company's security team to strengthen the security of the infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership, leading complex platform and infrastructure work from first idea through delivery and measurement.
• Strong technical skill in designing and building AWS or other cloud infrastructure, with extensive experience managing security groups, IAM roles, Elastic Load Balancers, CloudFormation and other cloud services.
• Solid knowledge of VPNs, AWS VPC, DNS and similar networking, and experience troubleshooting network issues.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, Istio and similar tools.
• Working knowledge of disaster recovery and security areas such as data backup and recovery, replication, AWS KMS, certificate management, encryption, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and security tools.
• Comfortable with tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Helm and similar.
• Able to work at startup pace on challenging problems, taking a high degree of ownership.

Conditions

Base pay for positions in this location is $166,500 to $291,400, plus equity where applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.

Sales positions generally offer an On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure.

The base pay shown is a guideline, and total compensation varies by qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

Compensation depends on the geographic location of the role and may change with work location.

Work persona (flexible, remote, or required in office) is assigned based on the nature of the work and work location. The company may use a third-party service to measure the distance between your primary residence and the nearest office.
