Staff Software Development Engineer

Description

The company makes security software: its Zero Trust Exchange platform connects users, devices and applications from any location, and runs across more than 200 public data centers worldwide plus private edge sites.

This is a hybrid Staff DevOps / Platform Engineer role based in Mohali, with on-site work 3 days a week. You will report to the Director, Product Revenue in Product Operations.

As an individual contributor, you own the DevOps, AWS infrastructure, release reliability, security hygiene and maintainability of a business-critical internal platform, and you use practical AI-assisted development to ship faster and with better quality.

Responsibilities

• Run DevOps for an existing business-critical internal platform, covering CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, logging, production support and operational reliability
• Manage and improve the AWS infrastructure in Terraform, including access controls, integrations, secrets handling and general infrastructure hygiene
• Keep weekly releases safe with testing, rollback plans, monitoring, post-release checks and ongoing reliability improvements
• Raise code quality, performance, documentation, test coverage and engineering hygiene across APIs, workflows, dashboards and integrations
• Use AI-assisted coding tools for development, debugging, automation and testing, and help set practical guardrails for AI-based development
• Work with Product Operations stakeholders to turn platform needs into dependable technical delivery

Requirements

• 5 to 6 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure, SRE, software engineering or a related role
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, monitoring, deployments, logging and production support
• Practical full-stack development experience with technologies such as Python, Node.js, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, React or similar
• Experience improving release reliability, application performance, code hygiene, documentation, test coverage and operational stability
• Preferred: Experience building AI-assisted engineering workflows, autonomous agents or LLM-powered platform automation that speed up developers and improve system reliability
• Preferred: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, S3 or API Gateway
• Preferred: Experience integrating with tools such as Jira, Salesforce, Slack, Confluence, Tableau, Power BI or similar

Conditions
