You will report to the CIDO Manager of Digital Manufacturing Solutions. The role has no direct reports but leads a matrixed team across IT disciplines and CIDO service lines.

The team wants a thought leader and strategic decision-maker who can weigh options from subject matter experts, pick the best path within enterprise guardrails, and drive work to measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Make the digital manufacturing and IT/OT architecture decisions for BRAMC within enterprise standards, checking subject matter expert advice before setting direction.
  • Lead a matrixed team of IT, OT and engineering specialists with BRAMC leadership, from development and testing through rapid prototyping to full-scale production across several product lines and classifications.
  • Support advanced manufacturing such as robotics, automation and IoT, along with classified manufacturing, assembly and test.
  • Co-own manufacturing KPIs such as cycle time, yield, throughput and OEE with operations leadership, so digital work produces measurable gains.
  • Link CIDO capabilities to business goals, explaining value, tradeoffs and impact to stakeholders.
  • Turn subject matter expert options into a prioritized execution roadmap for BRAMC and drive delivery against it.
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic planning for digital manufacturing, execution systems and data-driven operations.
  • Lead or coordinate infrastructure support for classified office and manufacturing areas.
  • Represent BRAMC to CIDO on adoption and sustainment of the ERP, MES and MPLM pillar systems.
  • Keep day-to-day information services responsive.
  • Work with CIDO service lines, peers and business stakeholders to allocate resources toward key mission priorities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, a master's degree with at least 10 years, or a PhD with at least 8 years. A high school diploma or equivalent with at least 16 years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • An active U.S. Government Secret clearance at minimum, with a closed investigation completed within the last 6 years, or enrollment in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP) to be considered. You must keep the required clearance as a condition of employment.
  • You must obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance as a condition of continued employment.
  • Proven ability to set strategic direction for CIDO services, solutions, processes, applications and technology.
  • Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders ranging from highly technical staff to senior leaders.

  • Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with digital twin technology for real-time monitoring and optimization.
  • Experience driving adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
  • Understanding of IoT integration for data collection, automation and analytics.
  • Preferred: a degree in Information Technology or Manufacturing Operations.
  • Preferred: experience in manufacturing environments, from the shop floor to senior leadership.
  • Preferred: proven ability to represent organizational capabilities to internal and external stakeholders and to influence priorities and investment decisions.
  • Preferred: a self-starter who does well in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and learns new programs and factory processes quickly.
  • Preferred: an entrepreneurial approach, willing to challenge the status quo and propose new solutions to complex IT and digital manufacturing needs while balancing risk, cost and business value.
