Description

The company runs a network for trusted trade, with an AI-powered product that helps governments and businesses strengthen the global economy and keep goods moving.

The AI Deployment team moves the company's platform into production inside customer businesses, carrying each project from signed contract through to measurable results.

In this role you decide what gets deployed for each customer. You lead discovery with people ranging from trade compliance analysts and operations leads to enterprise IT staff, spot where the platform and agentic AI can improve outcomes, and design the solution that AI Deployment Engineers will build and operate.

You are the customer's strategic partner on how AI fits their business. You work daily with sales, customer success, engineering, machine learning, and product so that what is promised is what gets delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Run discovery to map how each customer does its work today, judge its data, systems, and process maturity, and rank the use cases where agentic AI will make a difference, weighing customer value, feasibility, and data readiness.
  • Design end-to-end agentic AI solutions covering the workflow the agent owns, the decisions it supports, the data and systems it reads from, and the points where a person stays involved, with enough detail for an engineer to build from.
  • Write the prompts, system instructions, and evaluation criteria that define a good outcome, and prototype concepts on the platform to test an approach with the customer before engineering time is spent.
  • Produce solution designs, requirements, workflow maps, and acceptance criteria, hand work to engineers cleanly, and remain involved through build, validation, and go-live as the keeper of what the solution is meant to do.
  • Set measurable success criteria for each engagement, such as adoption, decision quality, time saved, and risk reduced, drive adoption through training and enablement, and build the business case for expanding into further workflows.
  • Work with sales and customer success to scope new and growing engagements, pass field learning back to product, and create reusable solution patterns, discovery guides, and templates.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in customer-facing solutioning or advisory work, such as solutions consulting, solution architecture, sales engineering, technical consulting, product management, or implementation with design-level scope.
  • A record of turning unclear customer problems into working solutions with outside stakeholders facing real deadlines and real consequences.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including running a discovery workshop with operators, presenting to an executive, and walking an engineer through a design, sometimes all in one day.
  • Product sense and structured thinking. You ask what problem a request is meant to solve, look for the smallest fix that solves it, and keep moving forward with incomplete information.
  • A preference for repeatable solutions, with an eye for the pattern behind each customer request.
  • A solid understanding of agentic AI systems, including LLM-powered agents, tool and function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, and human-in-the-loop design, and of where they tend to succeed or fail in practice.
  • Hands-on ability with prompt design and evaluation. You can write prompts and evaluation criteria, find why an agent's output falls short, and explain the fix.
  • Comfort writing SQL to explore and validate data, and reading API documentation (REST, Swagger/OpenAPI) and data models well enough to scope integrations with engineers.
  • Daily practical use of AI tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or Cursor, plus enough knowledge of data pipelines, cloud-hosted systems, and ML systems to judge feasibility. Production coding is not required.
