Description

The company is hiring a senior engineering director to set the vision, strategy and delivery for Growth Apps within Customer Experience Services.

You will help build the next generation of enterprise AI applications, shaping how customers interact with intelligent interfaces and workflows.

The role suits an experienced engineering leader who works well in a fast-moving 0→1 product setting and enjoys building AI-powered user experiences at scale.

The company has more than 30,000 employees worldwide and builds creative and document tools and enterprise experience platforms powered by AI.

Responsibilities

  • Own the engineering strategy for CES Growth Apps, the layer that turns customer experience intelligence, AI and orchestration into repeatable systems that drive adoption, retention and expansion.
  • Connect core platforms (the Experience Platform, GenAI services and orchestration layers) with product-led capabilities (Experience Cloud, GenStudio and AI-driven workflows) and with go-to-market and customer success teams.
  • Work closely with Product, Design and AI/ML to deliver integrated, user-centric solutions that meet enterprise standards.
  • Build a high-performing, inclusive and creative engineering culture that values iteration, design quality and technical rigor.
  • Mentor and grow a strong team of engineering leaders and individual contributors, recruit top talent and support career development at every level.
  • Represent the team as a thought leader inside the company and externally at industry events, conferences and developer communities.
  • Keep a firm technical understanding of the team's architecture and decisions, go deep when needed and guide high-stakes choices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading Engineering Directors and Senior Managers in a matrixed organization that is growing quickly.
  • 15+ years in software engineering, including significant leadership of teams building complex, AI-powered web applications at scale.
  • A proven record of delivering 0→1 products, especially in AI, data platforms or enterprise SaaS.
  • Experience launching marketing agent, ad tech or sales tech products.
  • A track record of improving user experience through engineering, working effectively with product, design and research teams.
  • Strategic thinking backed by hands-on technical depth: you can explain trade-offs, assess system architecture and influence people at all levels.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
  • The ability to explain complex technical ideas to executives and cross-functional teams.
  • A bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Conditions

The U.S. pay range is $209,300 to $429,350 annually. In California, the range is $276,200 to $429,350 annually.

Pay within the range depends on work location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. A recruiter can share the range for the specific location during hiring.

This is a non-sales role, so pay includes base salary plus short-term incentives through the Annual Incentive Plan.

Certain roles may be eligible for a new hire equity award as a long-term incentive.

If the role is open to hiring in Colorado, the application window stays open at least until the deadline stated on the posting, in Pacific Time. Otherwise, the posting may close at any time.

AI is encouraged in parts of the hiring process and restricted during live interviews.

Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered in line with state and local fair chance laws.

In Massachusetts, it is unlawful to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
