Description

The company is a Fortune 10 healthcare business that provides insights, products and services aimed at making good care easier to reach and more affordable.

You would join the Specialty Access and Affordability group as a full stack developer on the prior authorization team. The work is building and scaling software that gets specialty prescriptions approved faster, shortening the gap between a prescriber writing a script and a patient starting treatment.

Engineers on the team work across React front ends,.NET services and event-driven integrations on Azure. The team ships often, takes ownership of what it builds, and offers room to grow through stretch assignments and close work with senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build sturdy, scalable web applications in TypeScript, React, and/or.NET
• Assist senior engineers and architects with Azure cloud work
• Help develop and maintain the event-driven architecture
• Translate complicated business needs into clean, simple technical designs
• Review code and pair with colleagues, both giving and acting on feedback
• Deliver quality work at a steady, predictable pace
• Run what you build in production, including monitoring, troubleshooting and ongoing improvement
• Join agile ceremonies, technical planning and design reviews
• Use AI tools as part of your everyday development work

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience, plus typically 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• 3+ years building and releasing production software applications
• Solid skills in TypeScript and React, and/or.NET
• Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts
• A proven record of using AI tools effectively in daily development
• Ability to take well-scoped work from refinement to production, and to raise unclear requirements early
• Reliable follow-through and a drive to finish what you start
• A collaborative approach to software development and problem solving
• Comfort in a fast-moving environment where priorities change as the product does
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Preferred: healthcare applications, particularly EHR integrations
• Preferred: RPA technology
• Preferred: FHIR standard, SMART on FHIR integrations and healthcare data exchange
• Preferred: hands-on Kafka or another event streaming platform
• Preferred: CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Preferred: contributions to open source projects or developer communities

Conditions

Hybrid, based at the Columbus, Ohio office, with occasional collaboration across time zones with distributed team members and partners

Priority goes to candidates living in the Columbus, OH metropolitan area

Base pay range: $110,300 - $183,800

Pay depends on performance, experience and skills, equity, regular market evaluations and geographic location, and always complies with applicable regulations
