Description

The company is the company, a proprietary SaaS, robotics and operations platform for global ecommerce, built on more than two decades of running ecommerce and retail services at scale. The platform covers the commerce lifecycle, from browsing and checkout through AI inventory management and forecasting, automated fulfilment, carrier control and customer experience.

THG Fulfil is the fulfilment operating system within the platform, delivered through a SaaS and Robotics-as-a-Service model. It runs warehousing, fulfilment and courier management for e-commerce brands and enterprise businesses worldwide, combining warehouse automation with in-house WMS, WCS and OMS software. Its robotics include AutoStore, Libiao and Geek+ systems.

This Solutions Engineer role designs scalable, commercially viable warehouse and fulfilment solutions for THG Fulfil's enterprise clients. You will turn complex operational needs into practical designs that improve capacity, throughput, productivity and cost. The work supports third-party automation projects and wider 3PL proposals, including moving enterprise customers into THG Fulfil facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design complete warehouse and fulfilment solutions for complex enterprise customers, from first concept to detailed proposal.
  • Build warehouse layouts, storage strategies, material flows, picking methods and operating processes.
  • Choose automation technology, such as AutoStore, Libiao and Geek+ robotics, to fit each customer's requirements.
  • Check capacity, throughput, labour needs and operational limits so that solutions can scale and be delivered.
  • Learn each customer's operations, order profiles, volumes, growth plans and service-level expectations.
  • Run site visits, operational assessments and discovery workshops to gather requirements and spot improvements.
  • Turn customer needs into clear technical specifications and tailored fulfilment solutions.
  • Build capacity plans, throughput models and resource requirements from customer data.
  • Support simulations, cost modelling and ROI analysis that show the value of a proposal.
  • Work with commercial teams to keep designs technically feasible, cost-effective and commercially sound.
  • Write technical proposals with layouts, process flows, automation configurations and financial analysis.
  • Present solutions to customer stakeholders and support tenders, RFPs and complex sales processes.
  • Work with operations, engineering, software and implementation teams to validate designs and deliver them.
  • Define how THG Fulfil's WMS, WCS and OMS platforms integrate with automated warehouse equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse solution design, logistics engineering, intralogistics, automation engineering or supply chain solutions.
  • Experience designing warehouse or fulfilment solutions for large or complex operations.
  • A solid grasp of warehouse processes: storage, replenishment, picking, packing, sortation and dispatch.
  • Knowledge of warehouse automation, including robotics, automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors and goods-to-person solutions.
  • Experience with warehouse layouts, capacity planning, throughput modelling and operational analysis.
  • Commercial awareness, gained through supporting cost models, ROI calculations and customer proposals.
  • Understanding of WMS, WCS and OMS platforms and how they integrate with warehouse automation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly to technical and commercial audiences.
  • Nice to have: experience in 3PL, contract logistics or e-commerce fulfilment, plus exposure to AutoStore, Libiao, Geek+ or warehouse design and simulation tools.
