Description

The company builds digital infrastructure for physical AI, aiming to add intelligence to moving machines. Founded in 2017 and valued at $15 billion, it is based in Silicon Valley and serves automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining and agriculture across tools and infrastructure, operating systems, and autonomy. Eighteen of the world's top 20 automakers and the United States military and its allies rely on its solutions. Offices are in Sunnyvale, Washington, D.C., San Diego, Ft. Walton Beach, Ann Arbor, London, Stuttgart, Munich, Stockholm, Bangalore, Seoul and Tokyo.

This is a customer-facing engineering role focused on the company's software platform for software-defined vehicles. You will help automakers and Tier 1 suppliers apply the platform to their SDV strategies and in-cabin user experiences. The role spans three areas: middleware and architecture, the code-first developer toolchain, and in-vehicle infotainment with Cabin Intelligence. Your focus will depend on the customer mix.

The platform helps OEMs move from distributed ECU designs to zonal, centralized compute. Middleware stacks use AUTOSAR Adaptive, SOME/IP and DDS. The toolchain lets engineers model vehicle behavior in Python, work through pull requests and test in virtual ECUs. The infotainment side includes an Android Automotive OS based platform, HMI and cluster software, and driver and occupant monitoring plus voice features.

The team is looking for a sharp engineer, and the company says applicants who do not match every qualification are still encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical link between automotive customers and the company's engineering and product teams
  • Help OEMs adopt the platform's middleware stack, developer SDK and infotainment integration
  • Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, demos and early deployments with OEM and Tier 1 engineering teams
  • Onboard customer engineers onto the SDK, set up virtual ECU environments and connect the toolchain to existing CI/CD pipelines
  • Guide customers through designing and building service-oriented vehicle architectures, including integration across ECUs, domain controllers and high-performance compute
  • Support customer IVI teams on AAOS integration, Linux-based IVI stack deployment, HMI and cluster software, and Cabin Intelligence features such as driver monitoring, occupant monitoring and voice or AI interaction
  • Work with customers and internal product teams to find and fix technical issues
  • Track project milestones and report progress to customer and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • 3+ years working with automotive OEMs or suppliers, ideally in SDV, E/E architecture, developer tooling or in-vehicle infotainment
  • Experience with AUTOSAR, Classic or Adaptive, and automotive developer tools
  • Familiarity with SOME/IP, DDS, CAN, LIN or automotive Ethernet
  • Experience with at least one of: a vehicle software toolchain (SDK development, virtual ECUs, SIL environments or automotive CI/CD), or IVI and infotainment platforms (AAOS, Linux-based IVI, HMI and cluster software or display middleware)
  • A detail-oriented, execution-focused approach and the ability to manage several customer engagements at once
  • Experience solving complex problems directly with customers where software meets vehicle systems
  • A degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field
  • Basic to intermediate programming skills in C/C++, Python or similar
  • Strong written and spoken English; German and/or another European language is a significant plus
  • Hands-on experience with the company's SDV platform or a comparable one
  • Knowledge of zonal E/E architectures, HPC platforms or software-defined networking in vehicles
  • Experience with OTA systems and the vehicle software lifecycle
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety or SOTIF for IVI or ADAS systems
  • Experience with Cabin Intelligence technologies: driver monitoring (DMS), occupant monitoring (OMS), or in-cabin perception and AI
  • Exposure to perception systems or AI/ML pipelines applied to in-vehicle experiences
  • Experience with simulation environments or digital twin platforms for validating vehicle software
  • Project management experience in cross-functional, customer-facing programs
