Solution Architect IBM

Description

The company is a large IT distributor with about 22,000 employees in more than 100 countries, helping businesses get more value from technology through its own solutions, services and partnerships.

IBM is a key growth vendor for the company across Europe. In this role you will help grow the IBM portfolio and help partners speed up their digital transformation with IBM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of complex IBM software solutions for hybrid, cloud and on-premises setups.
• Turn business goals and technical needs into clear architectures and plans for implementation.
• Design the integration, API, data flow, identity, security, resilience and operational readiness parts of a solution.
• Weigh architectural options, question assumptions, and recommend solutions that are sound technically and make commercial sense.
• Spot architectural risks, dependencies and security concerns early in sales and design, and plan how to reduce them.
• Set architecture principles, standards, governance processes and handover documentation to keep solutions consistent.
• Run architecture workshops and support technical assessments, prototypes and proof-of-value work.
• Work with customer architects, business leaders, IBM specialists, partners and delivery teams across Europe.
• Build reusable assets such as reference architectures, templates and best practices that make later opportunities faster and more consistent.

Requirements

• Solid experience in solution architecture, technical consulting or senior pre-sales on enterprise software.
• Deep knowledge of IBM software. IBM certifications are highly desirable.
• Good grasp of enterprise architecture, including integration patterns, APIs, data architecture, security, identity and access management, observability and lifecycle management.
• Experience designing across cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Ability to write clear architecture documents, diagrams, decision records and implementation guidance.
• Strong commercial sense, balancing customer value, technical quality, cost and delivery feasibility.
• Excellent stakeholder management, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior business and technical audiences.
• Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written. Other European languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel across Europe when required.
