Responsibilities

  • Run unit, integration, regression and system tests during integration and formal verification.
  • Read software requirement specifications and build traceable verification plans and test cases, and set the overall testing strategy and methods.
  • Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts in languages such as Python or C++.
  • Lead the validation of the CSV tool.
  • Review test results, find software defects, determine root causes and file detailed bug reports in tracking tools such as GitLab and Compass.
  • Act as the first software contact for the system V&V team.
  • Work with R&D and product engineering to triage issues, confirm bug fixes and improve product stability.
  • Keep clear, concise records of test procedures, coverage metrics and verification artifacts for compliance and audits.
  • Serve as the technical software verification expert in design reviews and audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably software-related such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Bioinformatics or Biomedical Engineering, with 2+ years of software verification experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on software testing in a regulated industry.
  • Strong Python skills or another general-purpose language for test automation.
  • Working knowledge of version control such as Git, GitLab or GitHub, and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Docker.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a sharp eye for corner cases and edge conditions.
  • Preferred: experience building, developing and running automated test infrastructure.
  • Preferred: JAMA or DOORS experience.
  • Preferred: project management skills, including planning, estimation and requirements management.
  • Preferred: some experience with circuits, firmware or hardware testing.
