This is a regular, full-time software role on a team that supports mission-critical government projects. The title is Software Integration Engineer 3, in the Software Engineering job family.

The role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph. Candidates must currently hold that clearance, or be able to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main customer-facing operations contact for the mission customer.
• Triage incoming requests.
• Gather technical requirements and define their scope.
• Provide standby support for ad-hoc, critical-thinking requests when the mission customer directs it.

Requirements

• Hold technical training, certification(s), or a degree.
• Have at least 8+ years of related experience.
• Hold an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Be a U.S. citizen.
• No certifications are required.
• Be comfortable on the Linux command line.
• Write scripts in Shell, Bash, or Python.
• Administer Linux systems, including software integration, service management, configuration management, and routine sustainment for provisioning, storage, and networking.
• Install, configure, and support COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software, libraries, and packages on Linux.
• Work with stream and batch big data processing and analytics frameworks, including Spark.
• Apply CI/CD principles, methods, and tools such as GitLab CI.
• Apply infrastructure as code principles to automate provisioning and configuration with tools such as Ansible.
• Work with containers, such as Docker, and deploy containerized services under Kubernetes.
• Have hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Use Git for source control, branching strategies, and team collaboration.
• Desired: experience with the Atlassian suite, including JIRA and Confluence.

Conditions

The role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, USA, for 40 scheduled hours per week.

No travel is required.

Pay is likely to fall between $176,800 and $239,200. This is not a guaranteed amount. Final pay depends on experience, geographic location, and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.
