Software Engineering SME - IRAD/CTO

Description

The company is a global technology and professional services firm serving U.S. government, defense and intelligence customers, with about 26,000 staff across more than 50 countries.

You will join the Intelligence and Homeland Security division as a Solutions Architect SME, working on software that supports national safety and security missions.

The role centres on research and development, including finding new ways to deliver software to customers, understanding how programs are performing, and working with other groups to solve mission problems.

Responsibilities

• Represent the division on internal research and development (IR&D) projects.
• Share best practices across the division to make software engineering more efficient and effective.
• Work with programs to bring in new ideas and ease the problems they face.
• Bring innovation into both new and existing programs.
• Apply current technologies, tools and methods to design new software engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
• 15+ years of related experience, including delivering software solutions in restricted environments.
• Experience with Agile development, DevSecOps pipeline development and software factories.
• Experience with low-code and no-code development.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Java or similar languages.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance is required at the time of hire.
• Active Poly clearance is strongly preferred.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Conditions

Full-time, 40 hours per week, based in Herndon, Virginia, USA, with a hybrid work model.

No travel is required.
