Description

The team is hiring engineers, signals analysts, and physicists to build algorithms and software for synthetic aperture radar, low observables, electro-optical, and other remote sensing systems.

You will work on improving remote sensing capabilities in emerging space technology, learning directly from the experts who invented and patented them.

The role requires U.S. citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance issued by the U.S. government.

Responsibilities

  • Turn algorithm designs and prototypes into dependable software applications.
  • Work with radar, electro-optical, and research scientist experts to resolve problems and refine iterations that improve product image quality.
  • Build and upkeep sturdy, scalable software in current programming languages, writing clean, efficient, well-tested code that follows best practices and coding standards.
  • Learn synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and electro-optical collection methods.
  • Take part in every stage of development, including planning, requirements, design, implementation, build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and fix technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Learn from the company's recognized leaders and build a path toward future leadership in the field.

Requirements

  • Required: U.S. citizenship and the willingness and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance from the U.S. government.
  • Required: A degree completed, or in progress with an expected graduation date, in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field. Alternatively, four years of professional software or signal processing experience, or military background in electronic warfare and/or signal processing.
  • Required: Interest in learning remote sensing technologies.
  • Required: Working knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Python, C++, Rust, or similar.
  • Required: Working knowledge of Linux and/or cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
  • Required: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Required: Ability to contribute to a team building large software packages while independently taking on and finishing tasks.
  • Required: Ability to work onsite.
  • Desired: Programming skills in several languages.
  • Desired: Knowledge of or background in radar or electro-optical fields.
  • Desired: Academic experience in digital signal processing.
  • Desired: Knowledge of Scrum/Agile development and experience with Jira.
  • Desired: Experience writing software that implements algorithms.
  • Desired: Drive to tackle hard problems.

Conditions

You will work in a professional office environment. The role involves regular keyboard use, communication, listening and following instructions, and long periods seated or standing in place, with the need to move around the campus and occasionally lift items up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for people with disabilities to perform essential functions.

This is a full-time, regular position with no travel and no minimum clearance needed to start.

The proposed salary range is $60,800 - $121,800. Final pay depends on factors such as location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant experience, specific skills, education, and certifications.

The company offers flexible work-life balance, competitive pay, and learning and development opportunities.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, continuing education, and time off.
  • Flexible time off that lets you take the time you need.
  • Access to robust learning resources to support your career goals.
