Description

The Product Engineering team builds the company's products, from machine learning methods that lead the field to real-time systems running at over 5M QPS and handling more than 300 Bn HTTP requests a day, plus API and UI client layers designed around user experience, all on current technology.

The company is a Commerce Intelligence Platform. It helps businesses turn shopper signals into commerce results and creates more relevant experiences for shoppers using proprietary commerce intelligence and AI decisioning.

The company has about 3,600 employees who work from offices around the world or from home.

Responsibilities

  • Over your 6-month internship, pick one of four tracks based on your skills and interests.
  • Backend: help build large-scale pipelines and systems that make decisions within a very short time, around half a million times per second.
  • Full stack: work on production and parsing of MasterTag requests. The stack uses some TypeScript/JavaScript, C (.Net Framework and.Net Core), and Mesos.
  • Frontend: design and build a component in a web application that lets users edit large JSON markup, so layout banners can be created or changed quickly and easily.
  • Data quality in the RichTimeline: remove fraudulent users and find low-value data.
  • You will work in a team of 5 to 7 people alongside your mentor, who helps you drive your project, shape the design and apply good engineering practices.
  • Ask questions and join every knowledge-sharing session and workshop. Share your ideas openly while you learn to ship quality code that can reach millions of users right away.

Requirements

  • You are in the final year of a degree in software engineering or a related field and can commit to 6 months.
  • You have built web-based applications.
  • You occasionally take part in coding competitions.
  • You take ownership of your work and do not pass problems on to others.
  • You solve problems, fix what is broken and approach technical work creatively. You see coding as both a talent and a passion.
  • You communicate clearly and work well in a team.
  • If your background differs from the list above but you think you can contribute, the company wants to hear from you.

Conditions

The internship lasts 6 months and follows a hybrid model that combines time at home with time in the office.

The company makes employment decisions based only on skills, qualifications and business needs, never on unrelated factors or legally protected characteristics.

Benefits

  • Learning, mentorship and career development programs.
  • Health benefits, wellness perks and mental health support.
  • A diverse, inclusive team with colleagues across the world.
  • Competitive salary, performance-based rewards and family-friendly policies, with the possibility of equity depending on role and level.
  • Other benefits can differ by country and by the type of employment contract.
