Description

The company is a cybersecurity firm serving customers in nearly every industry. Its endpoint sensor runs on millions of machines worldwide, protects more than half of the Fortune 500, and handles almost 3 trillion events a day, with that volume rising daily.

The sensor is a lightweight, high-performance agent that detects and stops advanced threats in real time. It runs on every major operating system and architecture.

The team builds the development infrastructure behind this cross-platform system, including test frameworks, deployment pipelines and developer tools that help sensor teams ship code faster and more reliably.

Typical problems include building and testing across 10+ OS and architecture combinations in minutes, giving developers instant feedback on cross-platform compatibility, and deploying sensor updates to millions of endpoints with zero downtime.

The role sits between systems programming, developer productivity and production infrastructure. Python is the main language, with some C/C++ where needed. Engineers are also expected to contribute to responsible AI adoption and experimentation, using AI to speed up execution and solve hard problems.

Responsibilities

  • Create production-grade systems for cross-platform sensor development on Windows, Linux and macOS.
  • Design test and release infrastructure that manages dependencies and keeps builds fast and dependable at scale.
  • Build developer-facing APIs and tools that hide platform differences and speed up feature delivery.
  • Develop CI systems that return quick feedback and make frequent, confident merges possible.
  • Find bottlenecks, prototype fixes and ship improvements that measurably raise developer productivity.
  • Work with sensor teams to learn their workflows and build leverage points that multiply their output.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production systems in platform engineering, test frameworks, developer tools or systems programming.
  • Deep Python skills.
  • Hands-on cross-platform experience that accounts for the differences between Windows, Linux and macOS.
  • Experience with test frameworks, including making them robust, reliable, backward compatible and functional on every platform.
  • Ability to work with distributed teams and turn their needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience with GenAI-assisted development workflows or with building AI-powered developer tools.
  • Proven use of AI to improve decisions, streamline workflows and processes, raise efficiency and drive business results.
  • Bonus: C/C++ experience for low-level system integration.
  • Bonus: CI platform architecture at scale, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar.
  • Bonus: a track record of measurably improving developer productivity, for example cutting build times by 60% or eliminating 80% of cross-platform bugs before merge.

Conditions

Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.

Base salary for U.S. candidates is $120,000 - $185,000 per year. Placement within the range depends on factors such as relevant experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status and location.
