Software Engineer - Development

Description

The company designs, builds, manages and modernizes critical technology systems that organizations depend on.

You would join the Software Engineering Development team, which builds cloud-based managed services.

Growth runs through higher bands, with senior routes such as Principal Engineer or Vice President of Software.

Responsibilities

• Implement components from design documents and functional specifications.
• Document and unit-test your components so they are ready to integrate into the final product.
• Help architect solutions, test code, and build and deploy it through a CI/CD pipeline.
• Estimate the work for assigned development tasks.
• Guide features, functional goals, or technologies for the people who need them.
• Take ownership of your work and drive new ideas, so your code reaches customers sooner and your attention to quality supports the product.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer on complex software projects.
• Advanced coding, debugging and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on.NET.
• Strong coding skills and solid development experience in languages such as Java or Python.
• Experience with software development methodologies and building scalable, robust software.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML and JSON, and REST-based web services.
• Knowledge of architecture, including microservices, containers (Docker and k8s), and messaging queues.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Preferred: a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred: certification in one or more hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, Google GCP), or the option to earn certifications through the company.
• Preferred: experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.

Conditions

Work onsite 5 days a week in Frisco, TX.

Base pay for a full-time role in the U.S. is $63,360 to $114,120.

Location-specific base ranges: California (San Francisco Bay Area) $76,080 to $137,040; California (all other areas) $69,720 to $125,640; Colorado $63,360 to $114,120; Massachusetts or Virginia $63,360 to $125,640; New York City $76,080 to $137,040; Washington state $69,720 to $125,640; Washington DC $69,720 to $125,640.

Actual pay may vary by location, skills, education, experience, certifications, internal equity and market conditions, and will not fall below any applicable minimum wage.
