Description

The AppExchange Go To Market App is a new platform that turns the AppExchange from a listing site into a fully integrated marketplace where partners can sell and customers can buy, deploy and pay for solutions without manual steps.

You will join the quality assurance team for this app, which spans many products and business units and covers every stage of the software delivery life cycle.

The team works in agile and includes outstanding engineers who care about quality, with open communication, feedback and ongoing learning.

The role calls for a strong quality approach, a curious mind and the ability to turn customer scenarios into test plans that are automated by you or a teammate.

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of quality for complex or unclear features, which means understanding the distributed architecture and the functions owned by each scrum team.
  • Plan and run test plans that produce automated tests, manual tests and guidance for product teams.
  • Learn the company development process and codebase well enough to improve them.
  • Sit on a Test Design Review Board that reviews integration test plans within and across clouds, with a focus on functional, business, scenario, high-impact, usability and accessibility testing.
  • Learn the requirements of each cloud, including its tech stack, business use and implementation.
  • Build end-to-end integration automation, covering API and UI, that spans clouds and runs against varied organizations.
  • Talk with customers to learn how they really use the product and build test cases from that.
  • Run tests on complex org setups and varied data shapes.
  • Prioritize and lead cross-product testing.
  • Push for improvements that customers ask for.
  • Track quality health metrics at product and feature level, such as testability, test health and test coverage.
  • Work closely with senior developers, product managers and UX designers to make sure features meet business and quality goals.
  • Explore and adopt AI-assisted testing, such as generating test cases from requirements and analyzing failures, and share what works with your scrum team.
  • Work on production issues.
  • Take part in the team's on-call rotation to resolve complex issues in real time and keep services running and highly available.

Requirements

  • A related technical degree.
  • 4+ years in software engineering, quality engineering, usability or business analysis.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript and Java.
  • Experience with UI and backend automation, and with writing functional UI and API automation.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with quality and usability practices used in the industry.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools such as Cursor, Claude or GitHub Copilot to speed up test design, automation, debugging and documentation, with the judgment to check AI-generated code and tests for accuracy, coverage and security.
  • Fast learner who solves problems well.
  • Clear, concise communication of technical information, and the ability to coordinate across teams.
  • Experience with agile methods.
  • Experience with developer tools such as git, Maven and the Eclipse IDE.
  • Good working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Ability to build an automation foundation that engineering teams can use to build and run tests across the testing pyramid (shift-left), and to design automation frameworks with a quality focus.
  • Ability to mentor other developers through code and design reviews on their features.

Conditions

Applicants may apply for up to 3 roles within any 12-month period.

Candidates who are in school or graduated within the last 12 months should apply through Future Force.

Benefits

  • Wellbeing reimbursement, parental leave, adoption assistance, fertility benefits and more, described on the company's benefits site.
  • Engineering resources are available on the company's engineering site.
