Description

The role centres on commercial software: updating current systems and building new ones for specific business needs.

The team works on applications that solve defined business problems, using structured, repeatable development practice.

Responsibilities

• Update existing software and build new solutions aimed at a particular business need.
• Take part in every stage of development, using suitable methods and a systematic, measurable process.
• Partner with senior developers to keep your code consistent with design patterns and frameworks.
• Build commercial applications with proven, repeatable, industry-standard methods.
• Write application solutions from detailed requirements and system specifications.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a related field, plus five years as a developer or in a similar role.
• Or a master's degree in one of those fields, plus three years as a developer or in a similar role.
• Three years designing and developing highly available, distributed, scalable transaction enterprise systems.
• Three years with UI and Java EE, RESTful web services, JAX-RS, HTML, JavaScript, React or Angular, CSS, Spring Boot or Spring MVC, PowerShell and Azure.
• Three years writing SQL and PL/SQL, and tuning query performance and efficiency.
• Three years building web applications with client-side frameworks and libraries, including AngularJS.
• Three years with Java test frameworks such as JUnit.
• Three years working with the software development lifecycle and its tools and methods, including waterfall, Scrum and agile.
• Three years with source control software: ADO, Git or SVN.
• Three years designing and implementing frameworks and technologies for continuous integration, build and delivery.
• Three years with network and client-server communication, including REST, WebSockets and server-sent events.

Conditions

Telecommuting is available for 100% of the role.
