Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps)

The work focuses on building systems that are reliable, secure, and efficient, and on helping government missions move forward.

The role is a Site Reliability Engineer position on a team supporting this client.

Responsibilities

• Keep systems running reliably, securely, and efficiently in a fast-changing environment.
• Apply broad technical skills across programming, databases, containers, virtualization, and security practices.
• Troubleshoot and mitigate issues across multiple systems, including on-call duty.
• Work through large volumes of data to find the cause of problems.
• Implement security and compliance controls, including vulnerability scanning, governance tooling, and secure handling of data and APIs.

Requirements

• A BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or another related technical field, or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with Kusto, or at least working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with Azure and Azure Function Apps.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Skill at troubleshooting and investigating large amounts of data.
• Proven experience putting security and compliance measures into practice.
• An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bonus: experience with containers or virtualization, such as Kubernetes (K9s), Docker, or virtual machines.
• Bonus: experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, Bash, Java, C, or C++.
• Bonus: DoD 8570 Baseline certifications (for example Security+, CySA+, CASP+, or CCSP), and/or CompTIA Server+ or A+ certification.

Conditions

Full-time position based in Reston, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD.

On-call availability 24/7, for no more than one week every two months.

Base pay ranges from $111,800 - $221,800 USD in the listed states and the District of Columbia, and varies by office location, role, skill set, and experience.
