Service Project Manager

Description

This is a service project manager role that covers both the commercial and technical sides of service projects. Each project must follow company procedures, customer contracts, safety rules, and its budget and schedule targets.

Responsibilities

• Run each service project from start to finish in line with company policy and proven practice, keeping people, materials and progress under control.
• Manage the commercial and technical side of every project, including invoicing, costs, expenses and cash flow.
• Spot risks and opportunities early, then record lessons learned and share them.
• Close each project formally under its contract, and make sure the customer confirms completion and accepts the work.
• Apply contract and claims management across the whole project, following company rules and commitments.
• Work with internal and external suppliers to secure the materials, services and equipment you need.
• Act as the main contact for customers and handle any escalations calmly and carefully.
• Build working relationships with internal teams and outside partners, and keep communication clear at every stage.
• Make sure all project work meets the company's HSE policies.
• Review equipment drawings, schedules, HSE records, transmittals, reports and other technical documents.
• Work with execution teams and manufacturing sites to support delivery.
• Travel locally, and overseas from time to time when needed.
• Make sure work follows external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience managing service projects.
• Working knowledge of SAP, including order booking and invoicing.
• Strong communication skills, an ownership mindset and proven leadership.
• Good command of English, spoken and written.
• Highly regarded: experience with transformer service projects.

Conditions

Full time, based in Smithfield, NSW, Australia. Not remote.
