Service Engineer

Description

The company designs, installs and supports surveillance and integrated site protection systems for high-profile sites.

The team combines its own systems with established third-party technology and project management, delivering turn-key solutions for each site after threat and vulnerability assessments.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Systems Engineer delivering engineering services across maintenance and service delivery for CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems, so that work meets customer expectations.
• Own all engineering service activity, including planned and preventative maintenance and technical call-outs.
• Coordinate between internal teams and customers, keep communication clear throughout, and maintain accurate paperwork and billing records.
• Support the Services and Maintenance Team by diagnosing technical faults, and work with new and existing customers to maintain, optimise and upgrade their systems.
• Join the on-call rota to provide 24/7 engineering support.
• Work with customers, project managers and internal stakeholders to define system requirements and build solutions.
• Manage system maintenance tasks and monitor installed systems and infrastructure.
• Make sure solutions and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Complete project and service documentation to meet business timelines and operational standards.
• Follow company procedures and Health & Safety policies.

Requirements

• Solid experience with integrated enterprise-level systems, covering CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Perimeter Detection, Access Control and Video Intercom.
• Hands-on work with Genetec, Gallagher, Milestone, FLIR Latitude, ProWatch and Commend.
• Experience with high-end CCTV cameras from Bosch, Axis, and optical or thermal imaging makers.
• Experience with Grade 3 Intruder Alarm installations using Galaxy, Texecom and peripherals.
• Optional: familiarity with Senstar Omnitrax or Fibre Patrol and fibre optic systems, which is desirable but not essential.
• Clear communication with both internal colleagues and customers.
• Self-driven and enthusiastic, able to work on your own.
• Professional manner and a customer-focused approach.
• Willing to travel and spend time away from home.
• A positive attitude, with a record of delivering high-quality customer engineering work.
• Reliable, able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Must be able to obtain and keep government-level SC clearance.
