Senior User Experience Design Specialist (Multiple Positions Available)

Responsibilities

• Turn business requirements and user needs into design decisions that increase engagement and satisfaction.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and practical features from business goals and user needs.
• Review applications, systems and interactions across web, multimedia, voice response and conversational interfaces.
• Explain your design strategies clearly to others.
• Work with product management, application engineering and other teams to build and improve designs.
• Check that usability and accessibility standards are met at every stage of design.
• Build, assess and revise prototypes as the software evolves.
• Write user profiles that cover human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation, and task and objective analysis.
• Help develop design concepts and their implementation, and give input on user considerations.
• Apply software design and usability methods when investigating technical problems.
• Write specifications that describe user requirements and the internal structure of products in development.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, human computer interaction, graphic design or a related field, plus 6 years of progressive experience after the degree in this role or a related occupation.
• Or hold a master's degree or foreign equivalent in one of those fields, plus 4 years of experience in this role or a related occupation.
• Have 3 years of experience delivering user experiences for software.
• Have 3 years of experience with software design systems.
• Have 3 years of experience using Figma.
• Have 3 years of experience designing AI user experiences for software.
• Have 3 years of experience presenting, running workshops and leading critiques to communicate concepts and ideas.
• Have 3 years of experience researching and applying new design methods, technologies, software UX and AI tools.

Conditions

Hybrid work model.

Based in Palo Alto, CA.

Travel is not applicable.

Pay is based on education, skills, experience, location and scope of the role, decided during selection.

The annual base salary range is $170,320 to $244,464.

The targeted combined range, including variable incentive target, is $170,320 to $277,800.

Any variable incentive has a target amount, and actual payout depends on company and personal performance.
