Description

The company is building general-purpose intelligent robots. It designs the full robotics stack, from high-performance hardware and robot systems to the infrastructure and foundation world models that control the robots.

The robots are meant to work in complex, real-world settings and handle rare edge cases, supported by in-house research and end-to-end system design. The company has raised over $450M and is putting heavy investment into model research, infrastructure, hardware, and scaling up manufacturing.

As Senior TPM for Software & Controls, you will run delivery end to end across every software and controls workstream, from autonomy and perception through embedded firmware and real-time control. You work where software, hardware, and product meet, and you guide the work from early development to software that is ready for the field.

This is a technical leadership role. You will talk through design with engineers, weigh architecture tradeoffs, flag risks early, and keep teams to high standards of engineering quality and schedule discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Plan sprints, track releases, and manage engineering dependencies across all software and controls workstreams.
  • Own delivery milestones for software and controls, and make sure the software is technically ready before hardware and certification depend on it.
  • Align software, hardware, and product teams so blockers get cleared before they slow delivery.
  • Identify and reduce risk across both prototype and production-grade development.
  • Track progress and report it clearly, from early development through field-ready software and controls.
  • Run architecture and integration reviews, and hold teams accountable for quality, velocity, and engineering standards.
  • Build and maintain the master program plan, including milestones, critical path, and dependencies across the full software stack.
  • Set up program management practices, tools, and processes that scale as the team and product grow more complex.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in technical program management or in engineering roles on complex software or embedded systems.
  • Hands-on engineering experience in software, robotics, controls, or systems engineering.
  • Working knowledge of real-time systems, autonomy stacks, or robot operating environments.
  • A record of owning multi-quarter software programs from planning through release in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong skill in dependency management, critical path analysis, and schedule risk across hardware and software co-development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for both engineering and executive audiences.
  • Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for embedded or robot software.
  • Preferred: background in autonomous vehicles, drones, or industrial robotics.
  • Preferred: exposure to safety-critical software development, such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508.

Equal opportunity applies to all candidates.
