Description

The company builds high-performance, low-power generative AI inference systems, combining custom silicon, hardware and software for hyperscaler and neocloud data center customers.

It is a well-funded, fast-paced startup with headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA, and Munich, Germany, plus team members working remotely across North America and Europe.

The role is a hands-on, full-cycle recruiting position with broad ownership across ASIC, hardware, software, operations and SG&A, including highly specialized technical and leadership searches.

The ideal candidate has deep experience recruiting engineering talent, especially in semiconductor, hardware or AI infrastructure, and is comfortable recruiting business and operational roles too.

You will work directly with engineering leaders, executives and functional hiring managers to turn business and technical needs into recruiting plans, build targeted pipelines and make quality hires in a very competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across ASIC and silicon engineering, hardware engineering, software and systems engineering, SDK and compiler engineering, applications and field engineering, operations, sales and business development, product management, and finance, HR and other SG&A roles.
  • Lead technical and functional leadership searches.
  • Work with hiring managers to set role requirements, separate must-have from nice-to-have qualifications, design interview processes and build realistic search plans.
  • Create and run sourcing plans for specialized ASIC, hardware, software, AI infrastructure and business talent.
  • Actively find and reach out to passive candidates instead of relying mainly on inbound applications.
  • Map talent across semiconductor, AI infrastructure, hyperscale computing, networking, software and related technology companies.
  • Run in-depth recruiter screens that cover technical or functional fit, career motivation, pay expectations, location needs and overall fit.
  • Guide candidates through every stage, from first outreach through interviews, compensation discussions, closing and pre-onboarding.
  • Work with hiring teams to refine candidate profiles using funnel results and market feedback.
  • Plan hiring for both open roles and future workforce needs.
  • Give leadership market intelligence on talent availability, pay, competitor hiring and candidate sentiment.
  • Keep an organized, data-driven approach while handling several searches at once.
  • Provide a high-quality candidate experience at every step.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in semiconductor, AI, high-performance computing or another deeply electrical and computer engineering environment.
  • Proven experience recruiting across several engineering disciplines, with strong experience in ASIC, semiconductor, hardware or silicon recruiting.
  • Experience recruiting software, systems, infrastructure or related engineering talent.
  • Ability to recruit outside engineering, including operations, sales, product, finance, HR and other SG&A functions.
  • Enough technical knowledge to recruit and screen candidates for areas such as ASIC design, design verification, microarchitecture, hardware, systems software and AI infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to recruit at every level, from early-career candidates to Staff and Principal engineers, managers, directors and executives.
  • Strong skills in passive sourcing, market mapping and competitive intelligence.
  • Experience working directly with senior engineering managers.
  • Ability to constructively challenge or adjust hiring requirements when market data shows the profile is too narrow.
  • Strong offer management and candidate closing skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
  • Highly organized and analytical, and comfortable managing a large requisition load in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience at both high-growth startups and established technology companies is especially valuable. Understanding how recruiting differs between an early-stage or scaling company and a well-established brand is a plus.
  • Experience across several talent areas, such as semiconductor and silicon, AI infrastructure, software, enterprise technology and go-to-market, is a strong advantage. Being able to move between a highly specialized ASIC search and a business-critical sales, operations, product or finance search is also a strong advantage.

Conditions

Location: headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA, or Munich, Germany, with remote work available across North America and Europe.
