Description

Your customers are developers, security teams and operations teams at partner companies that run critical payment flows in production on the platform's APIs. Your job is to make sure they can connect securely, run reliably and troubleshoot quickly without needing manual support.

You will own the roadmap and delivery for API access, security and webhook infrastructure and tooling used in the company Platform API integrations, in the role of Senior Product Manager for API Tooling. The focus is on cutting partner-facing incidents, especially those caused by auth or webhooks, improving observability and self-serve troubleshooting, and modernising the auth and security base so the platform can scale safely over the coming years. You will work closely with the Security, Account Access and the company Platform teams to build API solutions that fit enterprise partnerships.

Mission: make the company Platform integrations secure by default and reliable in production, with self-serve API visibility that lowers failure rates and support load.

The company is a global technology business that builds a new way to move and manage money worldwide. The team is building a new network for global money.

Responsibilities

  • Own partner API access, the webhook service and the security offering for the company Platform API, so developers can connect securely and troubleshoot easily.
  • Work with the Security team to design credential management, authentication approaches and secure connection protocols that balance safety with developer experience.
  • Improve webhook reliability, observability and ease of use.
  • Build API and webhook logs and diagnostics that help partners and internal teams find and fix problems faster.
  • Make sure the auth and security infrastructure stays robust and scalable for long-term service demands.
  • Define and deliver a roadmap focused on secure access, reliability and operational excellence in production.
  • Work with engineering to ship changes that measurably cut incidents, support load and time to resolution.
  • Make practical trade-offs between scope, security, reliability and delivery speed.
  • Work with platform engineering, security, compliance, support, sales and other product teams to deliver a consistent partner experience.
  • Agree with internal teams on ownership and operational processes for preventing and responding to incidents.
  • Talk directly with partner developers and operations teams to understand production pain such as auth failures, webhook issues and visibility gaps.
  • Use data and incident learnings to rank the highest-risk and highest-impact improvements.
  • Set success metrics for reliability and operability, such as incident rates, auth failure rates, webhook delivery success, support ticket drivers, time to resolution and self-serve adoption.
  • Deliver measurable drops in partner-facing incidents, faster troubleshooting and a stronger security posture that supports enterprise adoption.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of product management experience, ideally with APIs, platform products, security, identity, auth or infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of authentication and access patterns such as OAuth2, API keys, JOSE and mTLS, plus identity and access lifecycles and operational reliability concepts.
  • Able to discuss architecture, threat and risk trade-offs, and reliability and observability with engineers.
  • Empathy for partner developers and operators, and the ability to turn production pain into clear product priorities and outcomes.
  • Able to set measurable goals and use metrics and incident data to guide priorities and iteration.
  • A record of shipping meaningful platform improvements in complex, cross-functional settings.
  • Able to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, build alignment and drive decisions.

Conditions

The company is committed to equal opportunity and inclusion, and welcomes people from all backgrounds.
