Senior Technical Content Engineer

You will be a technical voice for the company's cloud-native CAD and PDM platform, which is changing how product teams design and collaborate. You will work hands-on with new features, find fresh ways to show them, and present them to engineers, engineering leaders, IT teams and executives, both on stage and in front of customers, linking what the platform does to the results it brings each business.

Responsibilities

• Present live: deliver talks and live demos at trade shows, conferences, webinars, customer sites, technical events and user meetups.
• Support Sales with prospect demos, showing customers what is possible.
• Design the models, scenarios and stories behind the platform's demos, then produce demo materials, scripts, tutorials, feature videos and What's New release videos.
• Write blog posts, feature pages and competitive comparisons. Your work will be published on the company website, its social channels and elsewhere.
• Turn features into clear business benefits, including how the platform adds value alongside connected products such as Arena PLM and Windchill.
• Work with Marketing, Sales, Technical Services (pre- and post-sales) and Product Development on launches, campaigns and events, and pass customer feedback to the teams building the product.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with professional CAD software. Onshape and/or SolidWorks experience is preferred; Creo, CATIA, NX, Inventor and others are also considered.
• Experience with PDM and/or PLM tools such as SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter or Windchill.
• Proven skill presenting and running live software demos to technical and executive audiences, in person and virtually, including webinars.
• Ability to turn technical capabilities into business value that people care about.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Comfort creating and appearing in video, and interest in learning editing.
• A genuine passion for CAD and design, and enthusiasm for sharing it.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Equivalent CAD, drafting or industry experience will be considered.
• Experience with video editing tools such as Premiere Pro or Camtasia.
• Background in applications engineering, technical sales or training, ideally with a CAD reseller or channel partner.
• Experience using or implementing Arena PLM or Windchill.
• Experience building custom integrations with APIs (such as REST APIs or the SolidWorks API) and scripting languages.

Conditions

Salary range is $115,000 to $135,000 per year. This is a good-faith estimate at posting; actual pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience and location.

Travel of up to 10%.

Reports to Roy Mutalik, Director of Technical Services for marketing and pre-sales of the company's CAD platform.
